Cute town. Personable barbershop . Great slice of TV history. Great haircut! Good conversation with the original owners son. Definitely worth stopping to stroll through town and definitely worth a $10 haircut.

We stopped in while doing the "tourist thing". It was crowded, but everyone was friendly and chatty. Enjoyed listening to the stories and looking at all the pictures.

We came back to Mayberry Days this year and one of our first stops was at Floyd's Barber Shop to see Bill. This place will take you back in time and you will not find s friendlier person.

Stop in at Floyd's Barbershop and we had a wonderful experience to chat with the owners son. He was very informative on the history of Mount Airy and Andy Griffith. We talk for about 1/2 hour and he made you feel very welcome.

Interesting stop. Over 3500 pictures on the wall, and don't worry, the barbers there can tell stories for hours!

Nice talking with the current barber and hearing about Andy Griffith. He provided personal information as a native of Mount Airy.
