Great place to find an interesting variety of beers. Use of local ingredients and especially colorful and seasonal fruits and vegetables creates a high quality product. Can be a little pricey, but there is strong demand from consumers so good for FF.

We were staying at the Fairfield Inn across the street from this local brewery so we had to try it - happy we did.
On Saturday afternoon after hiking at South Mountain we were in the mood for a couple of beers and maybe something light to eat. We walked into this little brewery across from our hotel. We were immediately greeted by the bartender who was very friendly and busy as there were a lot of patrons enjoying the casualness of the brewery.
There are lots of beer options all with interesting names. I had a Well I'll be ($6.50) and my wife had a Darwin's Forehead ($4.50).
The brewery only offers limited snacks (bags of chips) But there was a food truck adjacent to the brewery. Lobster Dogs was the offering. I had a lobster roll ($18.50 and my wife had the shrimp roll ($12.50) Both sandwiches came with a bag of chips. The meat on the toasted New England roll was generous and drawn butter was served on the side. The New England roll however did not hold up well to the meat and was slightly crushed. All in all - a good meal.
We enjoyed our visit. They also sell many of their beers to go. We look forward to making this our watering hole the next time we are in Mortanton NC

We were staying at the Fairfield Inn across the street. We decided to venture over and give them a try. The building is interesting and I love how they have decorated the inside. The server was very friendly and explained the different beers to my husband. I can’t remember which one that he ended up going with, but he really enjoyed it. He said that it had a really good taste. I got a Cheerwine in the bottle, which was perfect for me.

Great beer and great staff. Directly across from the Fairfield Inn. Beautiful old building with local art for sale on the walls. No food but all you really need is good beer, right? We loved this place.

I was happy to see this truly local microbrewery open in a unique old building in Morganton. Lots to recommend it---two brothers opened it and hired a brewmaster, with the concept of brewing small-batch beers with local ingredients.
On my first visit yesterday, they featured brews with oyster (from a recent local oyster roast), one nice American Table with grits, marjoram and thyme, sweet potatoes and a scuppernong, also very satisfying and not like anything I've ever tried. I started with the scuppernong, but had to try a flight just to see what all they had on tap. Coming soon--persimmon.
Interesting brews aside (and if nothing else, the beer would be reason enough to visit), the location and atmosphere underscore the emphasis on local resources. The tiny brewery is located in a converted "flat-iron" building that formerly housed an electric supply company and, before that, a medical office, but has been outfitted with, among other things, the original interior brick, polished refinished wood floors and steel railroad track segments for the footrests at the bar. Contemporary NC bluegrass group Mipso playing in the background (for non-bluegrass fans, they're #8 on the Billboard charts this week) gave it a homey, comfortable feel. By the way, one of their current brews is named Dark Holler after the recent Mipso album.
Obviously, the two brothers who opened this gem take great pride in what they're doing, and rightfully so. They've hit the right combination of great beer, local flavor, comfortable surroundings and a soon-to-be-cool location. You need to check this place out!

If you're anywhere near Morganton, make the effort to get to this microbrewery. Their creations are astounding and we go out of our way (just a few miles off I-40) to visit every time we're traveling to/from the mountains. We discovered the brewers at a festival in Charlotte and were hooked. They always have something new to try and the staff at the brewery are very friendly and knowledgeable. We're taking our family to visit over Memorial Day weekend. Can't wait to taste something new!

Awesome little brewery. They really embody the craft in craft brewing. Tasty and unique offerings, but plenty of more typical offerings too. I enjoyed the Beet IPA and Dry Irish Stout. Was pleasantly surprised by both of the supremely different beers. I'm from Boulder CO which is craft beer heaven so I was actually pretty blown away by this small town spot. Great experience!

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer on offer and are happy to offer advice on nearby places to see. The space is very comfortable and welcoming. Most importantly, the beers are very good.

Found their brewery while touring the Lake James Area. I have not visited the downtown location yet but the actual brewery is located several miles outside of town. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facility itself was immaculate and offers many of their local fares on tap. I sampled a few and I was very impressed. The Irish Table is on par with Guinness as it is in Europe. Sitting out in a serene setting is the perfect way to enjoy a very fine beer. I will definitely visit again and take a few home.

Great staff and the beer was good, I like lighter beers but if you are adventerous the brewer likes to experiment with uncommon ingredients like grass for one!
