And the course layout. Greens are in rough shape. The rough is so long you have to step on your ball to find it. Fairways in decent shape. It's a central course for our group. We don't play enough to want to pay much. It's cheaper than others, but you get what you pay for.

Needs some money thrown into it. New clubhouse range and practice areas. Layout is pretty good and challenges you with some tighter holes. Needs green work and better maintenance. Great rates though.

The course is run down and needs a full facelift. No driving range, practice putting area is touted to be like the the greens, but is not. Cart didn't have a windshield (could see where remnants of the old plexiglass was). Fairways were wide and ample, but the grass was weedy and blotchy. Hazards and OB markings very difficult to... Nice staff, fair rates. They even give Senior rates for 9 holes, which is rare these days. It's a shame that there's not someway or someone that could either buy the course or pump some money into it. It has the potential to be a really nice course, it's just hurting for cash flow.

If you want a decent course at a low rate... This is the place! Not to mention the 1$ hotdogs and 1$ beers

Great to see the continued turnout for the annual John P. Campbell tournament to benefit Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County. Great barbecue on hand and smiling faces all around.

Mallard Head is a good course that provides quality golf without charging you a lot. The course is challenging from any tee you choose. The back tees can be quite a challenge, the par 3's are really long! There are 2 or 3 of the par 5's that can be reached in two to give you a chance for an... More
