My youngest daughter has been itching to go horseback riding for quite some time but most places require you to be 9. I decided I would look into a trip when we were to come to Asheville for Spring break. After a quick google search and some great Trip advisor reviews, I decided to book online with Sandy Bottom Trail... More

I had planned a birthday trip for my boyfriend and we decided to fill some free time with a trail ride.....what a wonderful decision that was!!! I have never ridden a horse and everyone was patient and informative. Our tour guide was beyond wonderful!! If you go, make sure you ask for "Wild Bill"! He was very amusing, informative, and... We had such a great experience! Only one person in our party of four had riding experience and one of us had never ridden a horse at all. This is no problem because the horses were perfectly easy to ride - they know what to do and really require zero expertise from the rider. So we were free to enjoy... More

My wife and I went to Sandy Bottoms for one of her 50th birthday celebrations. We took the 2 hour ride and had a great time. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our guide, Wild Bill, was awesome. He made our ride very enjoyable. We will definitely come back in the future. Thanks for a great experience.

I took my boyfriend riding for the first time and he loved it! We had a 2 hour tour and loved every bit of it. Very affordable rates and the scenery was beautiful. The guide and horse were both great for a first-time rider.

The crew is friendly and accommodating. The scenery was amazing and it was fun to go look for garnets at the small mine. The trail guides are very knowledgeable and are interested in making sure the ride is enjoyable. I would recommend this ride for all ages.

My step son decided he wanted to use the horse riding trip as birthday present for his mom. Little did he know this was a gift for the entire family b/c we all enjoyed it. Needless to say, we are all addicted and will be coming back to do it over and over again. Great guides and staff is wonderful.

My husband, our 5 year old and I went for a 3 hour ride. My son had never been on a horse and it has been 30+ years since we have ridden. It was an amazing afternoon. Orrin was so patient and kept us informed the whole time. The horses were so well trained and gentle. I never felt uncomfortable... More
