Just a short distance from the Hwy 23/19 access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, this one is a quick destination from either Maggie Valley or Cherokee. Several overlook points on the way up provide incredible views and photo opportunities. At Waterrock, there are facilities and...More

My husband and I went with our 3 year old son. He hiked the entire thing! It took us only about a half hour to get to the top, but he did the entire thing by itself. Gorgeous views, perfect for a family.

Absolutely. As with most public areas it must be on a leash and please pick up after your dog. I hope you enjoy your trip.

The main level of the parking lot is very accessible, as are the bathrooms and welcome center. The trail is a moderate hike, but the view just from the parking lot is worth a stop.
