Different type of walk to see the waterfalls The green trail offer three different views. The chimney one is the best to overview all falls (walk 0.7 m, easy with some stairs). Other are also nice. With young children be careful as true protections are...More

We did lots of hiking in the Linville Gorge- it’s beautiful, many well graded paths as well as more experienced bouldering type paths. The views and falls, the river were all worth it!!

Incredible view and a bathroom. Note that it is a good 20 minute drive down a very rough gravel/dirt road. We weren't sure we were going to make it in our non-4 wheel drive SUV and you really had to be careful to avoid bottoming...More

As part of a trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway near mile marker 300, there are several wonderful stops to experience. Linville Gorge and Linville Falls is one of them. There are two sets of trails on either side of the Linville River. The hikes...More

The hiking is incredible, the views spectacular and the peaceful atmosphere unmatched. You could go over and over again and it would continue to take your breath away with its beauty.

This is a state treasure. It's a must see if you're traveling to the Boone, Blowing Rock & Grandfather Mountain area. Plan at least an hour for your trip. Two if you can spare the time. Summer and Fall are quite busy. Be sure to...More

The park is well developed and maintained for safer access to wonderful views of the falls and gorge. Easy enough for kids. Saw some old folks just taking their time going up the hills and reaping the rewards. Need only about one hour, but could...More

This place is drop dead gorgeous. Definitely one of the more beautiful places I've ever visited. There's three really easy hikes that all give different viewpoints of the falls. I recommend doing them all because doing all three took around an hour. This place is...More

We did the loop trail and the moderate trail and both were very easy. We didn’t come prepared to hike. We were in the area and were on a “mystery road trip” and it was a last minute decision. Still, it was an easy hike...More
