There is a beautiful walking trail about 3/4 mile at the back of the parking area at this little park. It provides great views of lake lure along with many beautiful plants. Our dog enjoyed the walk along with a swim in the lake.

Paved paths to walk or run. Fish from the banks of the Lake. Places to picnic. Well-maintained. Quiet spots to sit. Only downside: you have to watch where you step as there's lots of poop from the many water fowl roaming the area.
