In the area for a family visit and had this destination recommend to us by friends. My wife and I are regular hikers in similar park settings in Tennessee so some of the negatives mentioned in the reviews - rough surfaces, noise, too many stairs...More

I’ve been here a few times with my sons and we always have a great time. It’s nice to have someplace close to Durham you can go that seems a world away. We aren’t hikers by any stretch but we enjoy getting some exercise on...More

It's a fun place to trek around on. Good trails, but a lot of tree roots, so be careful. My son likes to hike up to see the sunset.

Longest trail is a comfortable 2 miles. Very pretty walk and a wonderful view of the valley. Close to a busy highway so you do hear quite a not of traffic noise at the beginning of the trails.
