If one is interested in local art, while in the Highlands, NC Area, Highlands Art Gallery is well-worth the stop. The work of several local artists and artisans is represented, and all works fairly priced.

A beautiful gallery with great representation of the talent that abounds in Highlands! There was an Artist working in the gallery when we visited. The Artist was very friendly and willing to answer any and all questions!

The Bascomb is a wonderful gallery of paintings, sculptures and other work. There is a pottery school on the property if you are interested in learning. Also a very old covered bridge that you drive across when entering the property.
