The overlooks are pretty nice, but most can be difficult to pull over for if you have a large vehicle. Be careful as the road is very curvy! There is a walkway down behind the falls and you can get wet if not careful...

Quick trip and not a hard hike back up. Very easy, Very close to hotel only 2-3 miles. If you can only go to one waterfall, do this one.

Bring a poncho, you'll get wet. The walk was easy, but watch your step. Photos a must. Great observation area for guests not able to manage the steep walk.

This is a stunning waterfall not far from Highlands, NC. You can actually walk down and walk behind (unfortunately we didn't because we were losing light. We'll be back again to walk down and go behind the falls.

Worth a visit. A walkway takes you down to where you can walk under the falls. The parking lot isn't large and can get crowded. Lovely drive through the forest to get there.

Not the steps down as this is mountainous terrain. But, all the pictures I posted were taken from the main walkway.
