My husband and I enjoyed a movie in this wonderful little theater today as we celebrated our 50th anniversary for 9 days in the Highlands / Cashiers area.We had a wonderful time...enjoyed a movie, popcorn and a coke, and did not have to take out a mortgage to do so! I was hoping to see live theater, but they only... More

We love the Highlands Playhouse. They do such a good job every year mixing up the programs for everyone's enjoyment. In fairness, my daughter has performed here and was always treated like a professional. The Highlands team does a great job of getting local, up and coming talent, as well as having industry professionals. In most years NYC former leads... More

My husband and I, and one of our adult daughters, saw a delightful French farce, "Don't Dress for Dinner", with remarkable actors and actresses. The comedy had everyone laughing throughout the convoluted plot line. The acoustics were great and it is an intimate setting. It lived up to its reputation.

During our short visit in the Highlands we were able to watch a musical called the Piano Man at the Highland playhouse. Thoroughly enjoy the show, the actors and actresses were great!! Definitely will go again if in the area!

We attended Steel Magnolias at the Highlands Play house last weekend. It was wonderful! The theater was in walking distance from our hotel . It was extremely comfortable and had an almost sold out performance with an audience th a t was laughing, crying, and really into the play. The Highlands Play house is located in a quaint, upscale town... More

As a theater performer myself, you never know what you're going to get in a small town summer theater, but I have to say, Highlands Playhouse has the formula down pat. We were in town for a mountain weekend and took the family to their production of Godspell. Why the house was not sold out is beyond me. The show... More

We went to see "At the End of the Rainbow". It was about Judy Garland's last days prior to her death. The actors were professional, and very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the play.

enjoyed the recent production and a funny musical done for summer stock. The players are always great and full of energy and the audience appreciated the talent. The venue is wonderful and has been redone with the addition of first run films as well as theater. A wonderful way to enjoy an evening out.
