Lively downtown hub of Hickory. Union Square, on Government Avenue no less :), is home to several shops and restaurants. There are a few markers and memorials placed around. Big open area that covers about 2-3 blocks with ample free parking.

A really cool spot to enjoy the mild weather. It is filled with shopping and restaurants... really something for everyone. I ate at the Olde Hickory Tap Room, and got my hair done at Beyond Appearances.

Best blackberries ever...bib lettuce, honey, etc...Several restaurants in walking the square and a The Beer Cellar across the street. Plenty of seating areas- pretty quaint. Old restored movie...More
