Late Fall and Winter are great times to visit Elijah Mountain. Indoor mining, out of the elements of weather, is not only fun but unique! Our staff loves making the fire each day before guests arrive. Thank you and hope to see you again!

My group went to one of the mines and I'm trying to take my youth group to the same one. The mine we went to several years ago also had a trail to walk through and some of the kids actually were sluicing in the stream. I was wondering if this were your place. There are 32 of us and was also wondering if you gave church discounts or large group discounts. Any help would be a blessing!

Hello. We do have a stream and occasionally folks look for gems there. We do have great group rates. Give Heather a call and she will take care of you!

Hello! I don't know of any NC gem mines that let you use a pick axe. Maybe Hiddenite but finds are rare. Most people there use backhoes. Good luck with the search.
