Who would have thought there was such a place--let alone one in downtown Hendersonville. The Building is old and filed with history that adds to the mystic. Great way to learn what is just under the surface. Learn, get hands-on, and have something to take...More

We happened upon this during a street art fair and decided to go in. It's in the basement of an old bank building. The collection is small but quite good for a free museum - just the right amount of rocks and minerals for kids,...More

We stumbled upon this place a few years ago when some friends got married in the area. Decided we wanted to go back as it is free, but also interesting, especially as regards local rocks and geology history. Nice, knowledgeable staff.

We enjoyed our visit very much. You may purchase, for a lack of the proper word, " special rocks" and they open them for you so you can see the treasure inside. My husband really lucked up and picked a unusual one. Me? Not so...More
