I've been past this museum countless times and it was never open. Today, on a rainy day with little else to do, it was. There is a $5 suggested admission. The small space is crammed with exhibits in mostly chronological order. It starts with the...More

Very helpful curator (?). He was very informative about some information we needed. The museum is small but just looking at all the old items and reading some of the captions and articles was quite interesting.

We enjoyed the chronological order of the exhibits and the diversity of the minerals that have been collected in Macon County. The weaponry is well researched and interresting and the artifacts and items for sale reflect the integrity of the exhibit.
