The Cupola House is a prominent fixture just one block up Broad St from the waterfront. There is a beautiful well tended garden that surrounds the property. My pet peeve with most of the historic sites in Edenton also applies to the CH, the lack of informative Interpretative Signs or Interpretatives that don't provide enough information. Unfortunately for visitors, the... More

Beautifully redone old 1758 home literally saved by the community of Edenton . Volunteer guide was both very knowledgeable and fun. Particularly nice gardens - an Iris in bloom on November 27th!

We enjoyed our visit to the Cupola House and Ken and James were full of interesting facts and anecdotal information about the house and it's inhabitants. We even got to go up to the cupola (a narrow winding staircase) which offers fantastic views of the garden, grounds, and beyond. Highly recommend this stop on any tour of Edenton.

Beautiful Cupola house is rich in American history! The house is open for tours. You have to go to the visitor center on Broad street to get your tickets first.

Some of the oldest dwellings in the state. Well maintained. Surrounded by gardens that feature floral and edible plant of the period. Native plants labeled and provide excellent access for photographs. Be sure to get a layout map of the gardens. Parking nearby. No fee.

We attended the Easels in the Gardens event which is a fundraiser for the Cupola House held every other year. The docents are very knowledgeable about the house and welcome questions. The gardens are a delight to visit as is the town of Edenton. Easels in the Gardens provided us with an opportunity to visit 17 gardens and view the... More
