Beautiful little gem in the city

If you enjoy roses and a relaxing stroll, this is for you. Although not very large, it's very pretty and fun to relax and take in the sights, smells, and sounds.

Based on the reviews here, I expected a lot more than I got! This is a nice little garden in a not so pretty area of the city. It's definitely worth stopping in if you're passing, to have a quick look round at the flowers and quirky sculptures etc, but even if you look at everything in great detail it... More

This garden is a hidden gem in Noda, even though it's right on N. Davidson, most people don't realize that it is free and open to the public. There are abundant roses, but also herbs and a tiny garden shop...a lovely way to spend an afternoon, and they are also available for private events! May/June are best times to see... More

I had seen this garden for years, but did not visit it until my Niece was married. Her wedding ceremony and reception was held there and it was a beautiful location for an intimate wedding.

My (now) husband took me here on our first official date. I had driven by so many times and not paid much attention. McGill gave a tough-looking young fella a chance to show his sensitive side, and it did not fail. The garden was beautiful, we were last there for a friend's wedding, and I was even more stunned at... More

This old coal yard was transformed into a beautiful garden by Mr McGill and donated to the city. The Roses are wonderful, as well as all the other plants in the garden. My wife and I were married here in May 2009.

Our visit in late June coincided with some extremely hot and humid weather. There were a few roses in bloom but clearly the best had already happened earlier in the spring. The garden is something of a work in progress but is worth a look if you have fifteen minutes to walk through. The garden appears to be unstaffed. Besides... More
