June 2016 was the last time I was at the Foundation for The Carolinas. Since I live in Charlotte I always take my out of town company to see the most fantastic display of Glass Works I have ever seen The Glass Works Display changes ever so often. We are so lucky to have the Luski Family loan the Foundation... More

The Foundation does amazing work in the community, but I love the art in the public spaces. It is a wonderful respite from the hustle and heat of Tryon Street.

This is a wonderful collection that we stumbled across during a walking tour of downtown Charlotte. All you have to do is sign in, and you can spend as much time as you like viewing this lovely collection, up close and personal. The space is bright and wide open, and the employees are happy to leave you alone or answer... More

I shared the exhibit with my 15-yr old daughter recently and had a wonderful time with her exploring all the lovely exhibits. I am so grateful for the opportunity to walk in off the street without having to pay a fee and spend a quick hour introducing the gift of art to a young person mostly just interested in her... More

Lovely glass sculptures in the lobby. Definitely worth walking through. Nice free visit in the uptown area.

We've been many times to this renovated museum space that is the home of the Foundation for the Carolinas - a source of tremendous philanthropy in Charlotte and the region. The building is modern and lovely with several meeting spaces available for meetings, but the true attraction is the the art glass collection in display that is free to view.... More

What a great find! This free exhibit of art glass and paintings is a top-of-the-line collection featuring works by Dale Chihuly and Chuck Close. It's just a few blocks from the Mint Museum, Bechtel Museum and Levine Museum of the New South, but it's worth a trip to Uptown just for this! It takes about 20-30 minutes to experience the... More

While on a business trip, I had a wonderful dinner there hosted by the Foundation. The city views are glorious, the building has been very nicely restored but with a modern flair and it's become a true gathering place for the community. The living plant wall, on a terrace, was beautiful and I greatly enjoyed an eclectic array of art... More

The art in the public gallery is truly wonderful, and there is no charge. I have taken many Charlotte friends there, and I always take out-of-town guests. I have always loved the building and feared for a time that it might be torn down, so it makes me very happy that it is now housing this excellent art gallery. I... More
