This museum is well run, innovative in their programs and exhibits, and not to be missed. Off the beaten path, but well worth the trip out there.

We went to the first of a series of teas related to British history and were delighted. We saw lots of intriguing things that make us want to go back and spend more time.

When i got there the sign said to go to the gift shop, the gift shop was not opened. Another lady came and she was also suprised gift shop closed. A staff member came out and said they were not open till 11am, no sign...More

I had never heard about a group from Mecklenberg declaring independence from England almost a year before we actually did declare independence from England. Also, nice guided tour of the historical buildings on the grounds.

This is a nice museum with a modern building and a historic house. Requires some walking. The modern displays have a lot of reading and not that many artifacts. Guide was knowledgeable.

We took our grandchildren to a free day. They had people dressed up for a special presentation. They had kid activities,a tour of the house and yards and free ice cream.

We found this museum by accident one day while visiting Charlotte and were just delighted! Great history here and a very interesting place to visit.
