The Botanical Gardens is one of my top 5 favorite places on UNC Charlotte's campus (and UNCC is a pretty large university!). It's perfect for studying, reading, hanging out with friends, or getting away when you're stressed. They have a wide variety of gorgeous plants...More

Nice little garden. I had the whole place to myself for the hour or so that I was there. The best part is that it is free, but they do have a box for donations.

We visited on a lovely but breezy day in October; as it was Fall, the gardens themselves of course were not in high season, but they are still beautiful. The design sight lines here have all been SO carefully thought out that they are just...More

I went the other day in the middle of classes. I'm a commuter (about 30 minutes away) and have a break in between classes, so I don't go back home. I figured I'd go check it out! While I was walking around the sprinklers came...More

Great place to study natives! Most large specimens are labeled but hoping in time more herbaceous plant material will be identified. We particularly enjoyed all the bridges and surprises along the trail and the vistas it provided.

I 've meandered through the gardens a half dozen or so times in the past several years. Admission is free but you may have to pay to park on campus. I suggest you go through at different times of year to really enjoy the native...More

This is a fun non-crowded garden to explore. Cool plants and a few sculptures to see as well. The area is small but for the free price it's worth checking out if you are going to be in the area.
