I recently rented a boat and sailed around Lake Norman on it. It was one of the most exciting things I did while in Charlotte! I was on this boat with my family, where we simply cruised around the lake, and stopped in several places...More

Great place for all outdoor activities. Enjoy the fall foliage during the colder months. It gets hot and humid during summer :)

The lake was as always beautiful and serene. We got to watch an amazing fireworks show from many of the other residents and visitors to the lake. Wish I had my own place!

Try Airbnb or VRBO if you are looking to rent a house. If you specifically want something right on the water make sure and specify that in your search. Good luck, and enjoy! It's a beautiful place!

There are no trains or other public transportation from Charlotte to the Lake. It's about 20 miles. You would need to rent a car for flexibility.
