The Smith Center opened while I was in school at UNC, I know, shows my age. The Smith Center is still a good place to watch basketball, but it has been surpassed in terms of the fan/spectator experience by newer arenas. The PNC Arena in Raleigh is much superior in terms of fan comfort and ease of movement because the... More

It's hard to believe how old this facility is. It still feels new to me. This is one of those places that provides a unique college basketball experience. Go early to see warmups and enjoy the atmosphere. Go Heels!

Have been to ballgames. Carolina and Duke game March 4 was the best game ever. This is the best place ever. Very electricifing atmosphere. Great memories and wins. Fans and players are very nice and can't wait to return.

Since my son & I are UNC grads & real basketball fans I journey to Durham/Chapel Hill once a year for one ACC game. It is an exciting place to be...very supportive fans...the place rocks...all seats good except in the higher seats...am experience you do not want to miss if you love college basketball.

Love this arena and love the Tarheels. Seating is really great all around and the energy of the students and the crowd is amazing. Attended recently with my nephew-- a huge Carolina fan as am I, my brother -- a sports fan -- and my sister-in-law who is not a sports person, doesn't know a thing about basketball and still... I couldn't be more like a kid in a candy store. 44 yr old lifelong tarheels fan from Pennsylvania made this roadtrip to see tarheels play UVA on Feb 18. ESPN college game day.... what an awesome time. I've never seen a place more hyped up about their team. Needless to say it did not disappoint seeing our boys beat... More

There is nothing like Carolina basketball and no place better to watch it than in the Dean Dome! Go Heels!

Not a bad seat in the house, except maybe up in the top row around the arena. As an usher for the games, I've never had a complaint from a fan. When there's a full house, which is mostly, the noise level can be intimidating - especially for the visiting team.

We happen to be in the area for another basketball game and North Carolina happened to be playing the same day I'm not a Tar Heel fan but found the atmosphere enthralling. This Arena mimics NBA like atmospheres. If your a college basketball fan you're doing yourself a disservice by not taking in a game here. One to remember. The... More

Saw a basketball game here. Great arena and area. Super exciting even for someone that isn't a "fan"
