We live just down the road from the new Brumley Forest Nature Preserve. It's 600+ acres of walking, running, and biking trails. The trail maps at the entrance/parking lot indicate the distance of each trail and whether the trail is designated for walking/running and/or biking....More

Fabulous new nature preserve with loads of trails for walking and biking, with a beautiful lake complete with nearby beaver dam! The newly established trails are beautiful and safe, and nicely marked.

Most of the trails near the parking lot are shady and really lovely. Be sure to get to the pond and take a photo of the map - the power line is a good way to figure out where you are.

The park was opened in 2017 by the Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) who acquired the land from the Brumleys. Much of the land had been preliminarily developed for a country community back in the 70s, but the development never happened. That left miles of well...More
