Cool local winery and shop selling their wines and small items! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!

There's just not a whole lot to do in this part of the state in the off-season, and we were really happy to see that there was a winery not far from our lodging and that it was a local business, not a chain, so...More

We went here on a family quick trip. We live just a few miles down the road. Great inexpensive wine tasting. You get to keep the glass. Beautiful set-up inside and outside with the seating and waterfall was really nice. The wine did not knock...More

Visited Black Rock this past weekend and while a beautiful tasting room, the wine was too dry for my taste. That's okay though because we all have different tastes. There were some others there ahead of us who were obviously enjoying their tasting.

This small lovely tasting room is a "must" visit by locals especially with visitors in town. It is a great place to hold a group get together or just celebrate a special occasion. Days and Hours posted on the website.

Black Rock is a little gem. About halfway between Carthage and Pinehurst, The have a good selection of wines, a spacious and attractive tasting room, and an expertly landscaped outdoor area which may be reserved for private parties.

Good wine, but not for those who like sweet wines. This is a winery, tasting room, not the Vineyard. The vineyards are a few miles away and tours are planned but not running yet. Excellent, knowledgeable staff!!!

We stopped for a tasting. This local winery (the vineyard is only 5 acres!) produces dry wines in steel containers. I bought a bottle of the Traminette which was the only one I tasted that I liked. That being said...I'm not a dry wine drinker...More
