The campground is mostly shady with extra large tent pads. The bathrooms are clean. The boat ramp is an easy walk or very quick drive from the campground. No beach. Trails are really for bikes and horses, not very interesting for hiking.

The campground is first come first serve and has very nice tent sites many spaced for privacy. The bike trailheads are super close. The restrooms are modern with showers, but disappointingly were not cleaned adequately the 3 days we stayed there.

We travel to Tsali annually to mountain bike. My husband and 14 year old are avid mountain bikers. They absolutely love these trails! There are trails for beginners and advanced. The scenes are spectacular. We strongly recommend.

I rode the Tsali Mouse, Left and Right loops. The trails have a variety of climbs and nice down hill runs. The trails are maintained. They are mostly flow and some rocks areas. Mouse is one of my favorites and it has some technical sections...More

My husband and I stayed overnight in the campground on June 10, 2017. Because it was first come, first served, we arrived in the early afternoon to reserve a spot. We paid for our campsite, but the campground does not provide a way to mark...More

We took the right loop 2nd alternate. It's about an 8 mile hike. The right loop is a small path wide enough for one person. We did the hike early April and were lucky not to meet a single person, horse or bike rider. A...More

The Tsali has 4 trails and at least 2 are open every day. The other 2 are for horses. So if you want to hit all four it is best to plan for a 2 day trip. Probably better that way anyway for the average...More

First time visiting here. Rode the right loop. Was a lot of fun! Not too difficult either. Very beautiful area, especially the end of the trail is a look-out area. Lots of wildlife to see. The return was a slight downhill, and fast. Will come...More

Been there six times or so, going back in a month. Fantastic trail system for even beginner mountainbikers or those wih kids. Lake Fontana is gorgeous, I recommend staying at Freeman's Inn and Cabins just a mile away. The trails are well groomed and climbs...More

You likely won't be riding the bike from the NOC to the trail, that's a fifteen-twenty minute car ride and all uphill to Tsali. A bike rack is your answer here. Bryson City Cycles is a great local bike shop that might be... More

They are long trails. You can always turn around if you get tired. There is not a lot of elevation change so it's a nice easy walk.
