Wonderful area to take friends, beautiful scenery relatively easy walking, a little more difficult to the Falls themselves.

We really enjoyed our time at Graveyard! The lower falls are a short distance from the parking lot and super fun to climb around. The Graveyard field trail is pretty easy as well. We did a loop from the lot to the lower falls and...More

Graveyard Fields has an interesting history. Many years ago all of the trees were blown over then eventually getting covered with dirt making them look like grave mounds. It is quite overgrown now and not as pretty when the leaves are off the trees but...More

Graveyard Fields is a gorgeous place in itself but the waterfall makes it even more special. They have a large parking area equipped with bathrooms. The path starts out paved and then goes to dirt. Really nice hike. The hike back up is tiring since...More

We visited the lower falls since we did not have time to hike both. You go down paved paths and steps to the lower falls and then have to climb your way out. A bit strenuous but doable for old folks in good shape or...More

This moderate hike begins at MP 418.8 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. After hitting the rest rooms, we walked to the lower falls (lots of stairs) before retracing our steps and then hiking to the upper falls. As I read online, the trail is muddy...More

This was a great moderately difficult hike and highly recommended The upper falls are about 1 hour along the trail and the trail is a mixture of trail types Recommend wearing solid shoes and taking some water with you as the sun can be strong...More

The waterfall was pretty once you get there but you start out basically walking through a field that has such a narrow path that you are looking at the ground to make sure you don't trip and fall that you can't look at anything else...More

Graveyard Falls is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a good place for a quick hike and picnic. I recommend the lower falls since they're easier to reach and prettier than the upper falls.
