We had a great time doing a wine tasting and enjoying lunch. The wine was average, but the atmosphere was great. The food was excellent--evidently the chef is new. The restaurant is located in a wooded area with a picturesque view of a pond. Next time I come back, I hope to enjoy the zipline.

Interesting place, but thats about the only positive statement we have about this place. The red wine we purchased was probably the worst we've ever drank. Its a nice facility and the lady who greeted and helped us was extremely nice, however the balance of this experience was not a positive experience. The area around the Main facility has not... Came to Sanders Ridge after disappointedly leaving another Vineyard Restaurant! Very very pleased with courteous and friendly greeting an service. Beautiful setting in the woods. Food was excellent. 2013 Chardonnay was awful however! Was taken back and replaced without question!

I am a moderately informed wine drinker. We tasted 5 different wines before lunch and they were literally undrinkable, all having a "nose" comparable to bug spray. I asked the young server if the property had a bug problem and she said the fruitflies and stinkbugs were a huge problem in the summer and that they regularly sprayed the vineyards... More

I've visited many NC wineries however the quality of wine was very disappointing in spite of this Vineyard being around since 2007. Most of the wines had a very acidic finish. Service during the wine tasting was great. The nicest southern gal was very welcoming. The atmosphere and setting of the winery is wonderful. Food menu looked very good but... More

Quiet atmosphere, in the woods, good variety of food chef prepared. Local grown vegetables used in salad and dishes, local milled grits from Boonville.

Recommended by locals at the general store and they were definitely right! Lovely setting, nice decor, awesome waitstaff (lauren) and the wine was very good. I had Cuban sandwich with ham, brie and apples and loved it.

We popped in for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. We came for lunch, so a bright Chard is what we had in mind, very grateful the server told us we should probably taste it 1st.... we did not have the Chard - but none the less, the food was absolutely delicious - very organic, very yummy! Did not realize... More

Though late for the wine-tasting, wait staff provided a sampling of several wines with dinner. Fish was beautifully served and cooked perfectly. The setting was gorgeous. All wines samples were tasty, but we took home the cab franc. We'll be back!

It's beast to get to if you travel from Charlotte, north of lake Norman and west of hickory. The tasting bar is small not too pricy. If you enjoy NC dry type of wines then this is a great family place to visit.
