This is a small park but offers excellent views of the surrounding area. Getting there is a bit of a hassle due extensive road construction in the area, but worth it.

We realy enjoyed our visit to Blowing Rock today. After a dismal visit to Grandfather Mountain, we drove to Blowing Rock to see if it was as good as the reviews. We were happy to find oit it was. Reasonable price, no caged wildlife, though there were 2 frendly cats. The views were worth the visit. Easy to walk the... More

Beautiful and super affordable. Staff very courteous and helpful. Great souvenirs and clean restrooms. Scenery was breathtaking and the two resident cats were eclectic and sweet greeters along the path. Telescopes were fun and still just a quarter. Path was easy to navigate. Snack shop along the way convenient. Nice seating along the way. Amazing Blue ridge stop.

It's not free but it's worth the trip. The views are spectacular! Wow!!! The blowing rock is actually about 30 steps from the main entrance and the observation deck is not much further so it was easily accessible. Would've loved to check it out more but a storm came in with severe conditions and we had to get inside. Since... More

It started lightning and thundering the first time we went. We left back and went back to next day. Drizzling and raining but at least we got to look around.

I'm not sure this was worth the money. The advertised gardens weren't actually gardens and it was a very short walk. There were a couple great views and the story of the Blowing Rock is interesting. I'm glad we saw it but we would never visit again.

Lots of history about the legend of Blowing rock, great historical pictures. $6 each for senior admission. Beautiful grounds and the overlook is amazing, spend a quarter and use the viewers to see the surrounding mountains. Nice gift shop and the ponds have koi fish. You can take pictures on the actual blowing rock.

This place has amazing views, plus the story of blowing rock is neat. Nice little paths that meander in the garden area. Very pretty.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our trip to Blowing Rock. The cost is minimal and worth it. It doesn't take an extreme amount of time to view, but it would be a nice place for photography and a picnic. We enjoyed the resident kitties and the photo collection on display. We would certainly return.
