We spent a few hours this afternoon at Blowing Rock and really enjoyed the experience! There are several outlooks available to stop and take in the view. They also have maps available that describe what you are seeing from various points. Overall, lovely experience.

Never heard of Blowing Rock until we came to the area. So glad we stopped to take in the amazing mountain views. Worth the $7 admission. $6 for seniors and child prices are less. Interesting legend and amazing to witness the unusual wind patterns. Not...More

This was such a special attraction. The views are so breathtaking. It is an easy walk around the boulders called Blowing Rock. The gift shop was very nice. Would definitely pay to go back.

For the price of admission, we expected a little more. The pictures of the rock make it seem like so much more. Please take your money somewhere else.

We made an unexpected side trip to The Blowing Rock so I really didn't know what to expect. If you've seen a picture of Blowing Rock then the real-life visit will not be a surprise. The rock is not all that impressive but for $7,...More

This is a privately held attraction and has been for probably 80 years. The views of the valley are amazing, especially with the fall colors we saw. They have several areas for picnicking and they do allow pets on a leash. It takes about 20...More

A lot of reviews complain about the small trails and tiny rock, which to be fair, it's not too much to see. However, for seven dollars, this place does offer some great views that I hadn't captured elsewhere during my travels through the Appalachians. The...More

Price was reasonable at $7 The short trails were well maintained. The rock wasn't all that, but the views from the observation deck were grand!

This is one of those crazy attractions left over from a more simple time. No one in 2016 should pay to see this. Just save your money and driver around and get better views than you PAY to see here.
