Blowing Rock

A little pricey but gorgeous. Would not want pay on a foggy day. We went at 4 and had to be out by 5.

Very easy site to visit. Other sites have lots of hiking and steps. This one is basically our your car door. Worth the view!

I was interested in the story and expected a bigger, more impressive rock than it actually was. The view was nice and the rocks were fun to climb on but I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to see this. You can probably see the same view going on a hike in the area.

What a gorgeous view. Inexpensive and well worth a stop. Easy walk. Has a gift and coffee shop. My kids loved meeting the "Blowing Rock Cats".

I have been here before long time ago it was super cold this day so we just stayed in the gift shop by the fireplace and looked around. Its cool to see if you never have. The grounds are nice and neat.

Well, this is where the quaint little mountain town gets it name from. It's a striking rock outcrop (granite, I believe) that offers some incredible mountain views, especially from mid-October through mid-November (fall colors). There is also a well-stocked, souvenir-laden gift shop and a snack bar that serves basic American fare. It's family-friendly, but if you have small children, watch... More

We lift Florida knowing there was a storm going through Blowing Rock. We got there as soon as the storm hit. Our cabin was perfect and everyone had a blast. I would do it again. Blowing roof was an added bonus.

It had not snowed all weekend until we walked up to the rock. It was incredible to watch it snowing upside down from the valley below!! The views were breathtaking

46 years ago, we honeymooned minutes from this attraction but never came up to explore. A real thrifty place to visit. Very inexpensive and great views of the surrounding mountains.
