The home of the legendary Denim King, you can spend days not hours exploring the mansion and the miles and miles of walking trails. Not to be missed.

A wonderful way to spend a few hours. Shop in the mansion and enjoy the views and grounds. The walk is an easy walk on the grounds.

Stopped here off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Marked as the Craft Center, the center is in the manor house. You can see and purchase local crafts, walk or horseback ride trails on the property and on some days they have park rangers on site to...More

A perfect place for a picnic and pets are allowed. Located in downtown Blowing Rock parking is very ample and park lovely. Try to catch a music night at this park.

Excellent place for walking - trees in fall were so beautiful - good paths for pushing stroller and reasonably flat -

Revisited here and enjoyed the peace and surroundings. Had a nice trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped in for a little visit and look through the shop. A lot of crafts that are made by the locals and are for sale. Great talent.

We walked the trails to the apple barn and around Bass Lake. They were well maintained, scenic and offered different options for the skilled hiker or the casual walker.

We loved the hiking trails. There's a lake with geese and swan, and people were fishing. We checked out the manor at the top of the hill and there was a local artist. Our kids really enjoyed it.

The quickest is the Deer Park trail. If you take the Maze toward the Apple Barn and then turn left onto Watkin Road you can also get there, but it is much further.

I suggest you contact them directly. I know that in our area of North Carolina there are times in the winter when the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed even though local roads may be open and safe. Sorry but I just don't know... More

I believe the horseback riding was around $300 but only had an all day package which included lunch, photos, and something else. We didn't have that much time to put into it.
