Our walk around the lake was peaceful and beautiful. There were horses and ducks and swans and fish. It was a nice, level surface walk to take in the mountain scenery.

My family (me, husband and 2 kids aged 6 & 8) hiked the complete 5 mile Boone Fork Trail and it was lovely. It was a bit strenuous for flat-landers (we're from Florida) and that last 1.5 miles was rough, but it was really nice....More

The admission is less than 10 bucks so it was worth it. I'd give it a solid 6. The views are impressive on a clear day.
