It’s always fun for the kiddos to come and learn a little history and see some cool stuff. It’s not very big but a must stop while in Beaufort.

The displays are well maintained and thought out. The staff was friendly and eager to answer questions. It is air conditioned and free to go through. We took about an hour to see it all.

This attraction is designed for those who love nautical history. I was especially interested in the research and artifacts of the Queen Anne's Revenge (Blackbeard's ship). Also, offered a one hour show about the ship. Highly recommend.

A first rate small maritime museum with a heavy emphasis on Blackbeard’s exploits and archialogical relics. Captures your imagination and attention. We stayed for 3 hours.

This is a great museum right across from the water. Loved seeing the whale skeleton. Very informative. Great exhibits. The museum is free. Great place to visit.

This rather small museum is full of interesting exhibits and tells the guest lots of facts, stories and history about the North Carolina's (especially Beaufort's) connection to the sea. Since it's free, someone should defenitly consider a visit!

This place always has something going on. It is great for the whole family, and it is free which is rare.

We visited for the pirate invasion - the museum houses some very interesting exhibits for all ages, especially the excavation on Blackbeard's rumored ship nearby. Very well done, interesting nautical library in the back and nice gift shop.

It's a small indoor museum, I did not see any dogs when we were there. I'm thinking it would not be appropriate to bring dogs in.
