Good Ice and Lights

Seasonal rink with good ice, boards, and lighting. Covered only, so can get cold on the winter days. Locker rooms are fair.

I visited Murray's with a few friends and our young kids for a little roller skating. My first time. Not a bad set up for skating. The location was pretty empty and the kids could actually enjoy going around. I do wish the attendants on the actual rink would help the kids learn some basic moves and not just come... More

Best ice in Westchester, thanks to the hard work of the employees. Come here for the weekday 5am freestyle session, and it looks like glass. Most come here for the public sessions and group lessons. A great way to pass a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Took my girls ice skating here. Haven't been here since the 1970's as child and totally forgot the rink is an outside rink (with a cover). So dress appropriately! The rink itself is nice, though crowded. Very difficult place to sit and watch if you are not skating though as it is very crowded inside (where it is warm) and... More

In the summer Murray's used to ne the place to take your kids roller skating and ice skating in the winter on weekends and evenings. Now they only have one public session each week in the summer and the winter is mostly rented out to hockey leagues. They should remember that this is a town rink and should be available... More

Rink is run by the city of Yonkers, so prices are reasonable. I bring my son and bunch of his friends on Friday night. Avoid sat night it gets too crowded and you might see a lot of first timers for someone's birthday. Sunday 5:20 sessions are the least crowded. Skating is $8 and skate rental is $4.

I grew up skating at Murray's and my kids learned to skate there too! It has a roof over the ice and a chain link fence around it, so you are protected from the rain and snow, but not from the wind on a very cold day--that is my only negative comment.

I have not been here in probably thirty years and was not anticipating too much....was I surprised! my granddaughter took lessons there and they put on a recital last week. It was great....I was so impressed with the children, with the staff, with the program they put on. You could see the hard work by both students and their teachers......this... More

It's a rink. And if you like to skate in a rink, why not skate here!!! Ridge Hill is near by so you also have lots of shopping and dining at Ridge Hill. I love the place. I feel like I'm away and that's all that counts for me.
