Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yallingup Beach is a bit of a legend in WA as the beach where surfboard-riding in that state really took off. In the park overlooking the beach there is a bronze statue of 60s surfer holding a longboard to commemorate this event. This park also has viewing platforms from where you can watch and admire the skills of the surfers who continue to flock to Yallinup and its legendary reef break
The park also features a very cool beach-shack themed playground as well as good toilets and excellent facilities for picnics.

Walkable distance from Seashells Resort through their gardens around fifteen minutes. The beach is extremely popular and not surprising as it is golden sands, childrens play park and cafe along with toilets. The views are spectacular.

Stunning view of a beautiful coastline. Lots of parking and a well maintained park area with toilets. Lookouts to see the beach area and easy access to the beach. We could sit for hours looking at the view, way to turn it on WA! The only disappointment was no dogs allowed on the beach, not even on a leash. We would have loved to have a nice walk on the beach. The area is popular with surfers and snorkelers. A small little shop close by, another shop on the way in near the Caves caravan park and Dunsborough about a 15min drive for supermarkets etc. We were going to stay at the Yallingup Beach Caravan Park however no dogs allowed November to May. Things are slowly getting better for those of us who travel with our fur babies in Australia, more places are allowing dogs. We did find somewhere else to stay with our Caravan and our furry member of the family.

Another beautiful coastline area and our last stop on the day. Busy with people parked and enjoying the views, others strolling the beach and hardy surfers waiting patiently waiting in the bay for the ripple to become a wave. Very good facilities nearby.

Enjoying a short break in Yallingup with friends and ventured to the beach to enjoy a coffee from the van while we surveyed the activities on shore and the water. A good number of people enjoying surfing and swimming and a few optimists hoping to catch a fish. Nice area to spend an hour.

Went body boarding and body surfing with my two daughters, and it is a lovely beach. The afternoon we were there, Lifeguards were in attendance which was great to see, but the surf was quite rough, with a very strong tide/current. Didn’t stop us have fun though. Had to leave the water after a couple of hours as a shark had been spotted not far from where we were, but that is to be expected when you play in their territory. There is a naturally formed lagoon near the car park which is great for those wanting to swim or those who have younger children. It is a beautiful beach and well worth a visit.

Walked part of the Cape to Cape trail from Torpedo Rock (near Smiths Beach) to Yallingup - about 4kms return. Well worth the walk although it's quite exposed; gravel without stairs so would be ok for strollers; plenty of viewing spots to check out the impressive surf, especially in big swell conditions. Once in Yallingup itself take advantage of the foreshore development on the headland overlooking the main beach - naturally shady, innovative playground (for up to approx. 8yr olds), prime viewing spot of the surf. Low tide provides some good spots for learner surfers.

It has been a long time since I visited here and apart from the amount of houses it seems to have largely remained the same.

It really is a peaceful location.

There isn't a lot here so we went for a walk with our pup on the trails (dogs not allowed anywhere near the beach) bought a cup of coffee and drove off. There isn't much to keep you here unless you're a surfie.

The main beach is a short stroll from Caves House where we were staying. We spent a couple of hours there late afternoon on a perfect day. Family friendly, easily accessible, good for both swimming and surfing.

The water was lovely and clear. However, the cost line in this area of Australia is mainly cliffs and rocks so any tiny stretch of proper beach (like this here) is full with families, screaming babies and running dogs. To add to it, during April there were annoying biting ants everywhere so we ended up staying for no more but ten minutes. Much nicer (and quieter) beaches to be had almost anywhere else in this beautiful country!
