Really enjoyed the Ngilgi Cave - paid a bit more for the caving tour down to the ancient river bed which was well worth the money! Felt like a true adventure, especially getting off the path and crawling (literally) through narrow passages down at the river bed. Aaron was our guide - he was personable with our family and knowledgeable about the cave. Great stuff

Ok the place is spectacular, and a cool 20 degrees inside, albeit humid as heck. The lowest point of the path is some 37metres (10 or so stories) below ground so there are stairs, lots of stairs. In some places the roof is so low that if your are taller than 160cm u are bent over at the waist, but it is pretty cool.

My partner and I did the cave tour in October.

I booked for the two of us online and was pleased we did because it was a full tour - 20 max due to Covid.

The caves are clearly signposted and there was plenty of parking.

Upon arrival there was a nice gift shop and toilets on site.

The tour lasts about an hour but you can do it at your own pace. Some people in our group flew through it where as we took our time to admire the cave.

Wearing trainers or similar is a must in my opinion because you have to climb up and down numerous steps. It’s not overly taxing but it is steep in places and some of the steps are quite tight in places.

They stated the tour was semi-guided but the guide just makes sure you can get down the steps and away you go on your own. I didn’t mind that at all and we did also speak with the guide during the tour, she was both very knowledgeable and friendly.

If you are in the area, it’s worth a visit and we will be back. I would suggest booking online to avoid disappointment in my opinion.

Wonderful cave, lots of fun. It's an excellent way to spend your time and you only need to allow an hour to explore. It's not terribly difficult but thete are some narrow steps and wpuld recommend wearing runners and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty especially if you decided to go down the tunnel!

One of the major caves located in the northern part of the cape. This cave is semi-guided (first 10 minutes), and the rest you are free to explore at your own pace. The cave consists of two sections (the amphitheater and another one). Nice decorative features, but exiting the cave would require quite a strenuous climb with overhangs to watch out for. Definitely worth a visit!

We were staying in Yallingup so having been to a number of caves before decided to do this one. It's a semi guided tour, the guide give a lot of history while you are in the main cavern, then you explore by yourself. There are so many areas and such amazing formations, we spent close to an hour under there, you go down about 35 metres I think, and lots of stops along the way to explore. In one large cavern you can lie on you back and look up at the stalactites - it looks like they are all at angles - a good illusion.
There a lots of steps so you need to be reasonably mobile. All in all a great place to visit.

As seems to have been the case for many places we visited on this trip, the site was going through some major renovations when we were there, but it certainly looks like they’ll be something when their done.
We joined up for the tour and had a briefing on the usual, and headed into the cave. Although it was fairly nice, it wax extremely different to the many of the caves I have visited through the years. The guide advised that it was rated as a dry cave, and needed plenty of rain to continue building. It was nice with two main caverns with pretty much your usual sights. A nice way to spend an hour or so.

A while had passed since I first tried this adventure cave tour and the time had come to do it all again but this take my adult sons. There was plenty of noise on the drive down from Perth but from the moment we heard the cultural tour's didgeridoo and started checking out the beautiful formations they really began to enjoy the experience. The climbing was fabulous and although difficult at times at no stage did it seem impossible and it was great to see the joy on the others faces as we worked our way through the cave system. Out guide Shae was terrific company for the time in the cave and I can't recall a question when her knowledge of the area and the sights were anything but first class. what a shame for WA that other tours can't be run and managed as professionally as this tour is. Well done to all at Ngilgi Caves.

We have done adventure caving in other parts of Australia but this was our best tour so far. Thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable guide Reuben we had an awesome time scrambling, climbing, crawling and squeezing our way to the ancient river bed and back in the course of almost three hours underground. Thanks also to Shea and Gemma for finding Hilary and Neil so that the tour could go ahead (otherwise we were short on numbers). Thanks to Hilary and Neil for agreeing to take the extended tour. We had a great time!

I’m not sure I’d take children too young as there’s a lot of climbing. The guide took you down to the first level and virtually left you too it. A few people were asking each other which direction to go ... so you basically found your own way around. Now this might suit lots of people wanting to do their own thing and to climb at there own pace. This actually suited us as there was different ages in our family of 5.
The adventure just wasn’t that exciting as such.
