Take the unsealed road for about 3 kilometres. Parking is easily accessible. You will then take the bitumen pathway on foot. It is a very pleasant walk. This eventually leads to a well appointed board walk down to the beach with spectacular
views. Take plenty of water, hat and sunscreen etc on warm days. There is an ECO friendly toilet in the car park. Please be wary of snakes. We were confronted by one on the board walk, we made lots of stomping noises and it soon wriggled back into the bushes.

We visited on a relatively calm day in early May, but you could tell from the swell and the landscape this is one wild stretch of coastline, even on the quietest of days. Climbed to the higher lookout above the beach which gave excellent views. From the lookout we could see the rips operating in the surf - this would not be a good place to take a dip. (I should add the beach is not patrolled.) Unfortunately we were not here in whale-watching season.

We made a brief stop to explore this location for future visits. Some parking available. A sandy, gravelly pathway (so wear shoes) through scrub leads to options to view the area from top of a stairway or a platform overlooking beach area. A scenic location that offers a stunning beach to explore. Was told that this was a likely whale spotting location. A good spot for a beach picnic.

We were driving from Denmark through to Margaret River and had a few "must do" places of interest our Perth friends had advised us to make sure and see. Conspicuous Cliffs was one of these, and we were so glad we did. As you turn in off the main road, and driving along about 6 km or so on dirt road you start to wonder how much further and is it worth taking the time to do it on a day when you had a certain amount of kms to do on your road trip! However, on arrival, no cars....lots of parking, and native bush and signage indicating to proceed along the boardwalk, and although no sign of the sea, we could faintly hear it so we proceeded onwards.
It was easily accessible to the first look out, (my husband had knee issues, so we are mindful of access when doing any walking) We visited in late October and the wildflowers were amazing to say the very least, so unpretentious from a distance, yet as we walked closer the detail of nature is indeed awesome with so many varieties, colours, shapes etc.
We enjoyed the first lookout saying "Yes we are glad we came" ... well advised by our friends and took a few photos. Didn't walk down to the beach, was pretty windy and threatening rain, however I wondered where the steps going up would lead to, so I left my husband reading information at a booth while I proceeded up the steps to the next 2 levels. There are benches strategically built into the well constructed wooden steps, which have several steps, then a platform with a seat, then more steps, giving those who need a rest, the opportunity to catch their breath if need be.
Was SO GLAD I went up, decided I would try and capture the memory to share with my husband later with photos. AWESOME overall view of the whole beach area, and another platform lookout which hangs over the cliff. AND so many more wildflowers all the way along the steps and walkways.
It is very well done, and hats off to the thoughtful way it was constructed as it blends into the environment as if it grew there and is not at all intrusive.
Was so glad I made the effort/decision to discover what was at the top of the steps! I had a knee replacement 4 yrs ago, and was able to easily manage the climb up and down, in case anyone wonders at physical ability needed!
DON'T miss this gem! It is well worth going off the main road and spending at least a quarter of an hour if you are in a hurry! however to do it justice 1/2 hr or more would be better! (we were there for an hour at least, time just stood still for us!)
Good toilet facilities there too, in case one wonders! AND we were the only ones there, so felt quite spoiled able to enjoy this in solitude and quiet except for the pounding surf.

For me this was most beautiful part of the coastline from Denmark to Nornalup. Lots of flowers and blossom coloured the pathway and heath land. The views along the coast were good and once we had climbed onto the promontory they were outstanding. There is a path down to the beach but we preferred up rather than down. A Western Spinebill flew across the path in front of me and disappeared into the thick bushes. It was peaceful and relaxing. Saw no whale. The toilets found near the adequate car park are passable .

Travelling from Perth to Esperance, taking our time and I would definately say this Cliff, more really a fabulous beach is beautiful beyond belief. Good car parking, couple of shade area, plenty of rest stops, for those who need it on the lookout and way down to the beach. Lookout a must and no where as strenuous as some would have you believe and add on the board walk and steps down to the beach. The beach is a must with the squeaky white sand and the amazing blue sea and white crested waves.

It's worth the effort climbing up to the lookout. Wild and windy - amazing coastline. Such natural unspoiled beauty.

View was absolutely breathtaking. Various look out points but the best panoramic view was from the two points at the top of the cliff. Beautiful. Needs a bit of step climbing so may not be that suitable for those with very serious knee problems but otherwise should not be an issue. It's off the beaten track so some mild off-road driving so at least a 2wd is recommended. Met some wild kangaroos along the drive just standing and staring at us. Amazing.
