This small Museum was the first place we visited on Rottnest. It's not all flashing lights and screens and bells and whistles, but it IS a small, well-thought out series of displays and objects that tell the Rottnest story very well. If you're prepared to...More

This is a small and interesting museum which I have been to before. This time, I bought guests and was a little disconcerted by the assertive / aggressive way the woman behind the desk said “gold coin donation is needed for entry”, as soon as...More

Very interesting facts and memorabilia within this fascinating museum. Including the history of Rottnest, natural, and human occupation, and the more recent history of The WRENS. And their involvement on the Island.

A great place to get an instant understanding of what this beautiful island has experienced. Helpful, volunteer staff, are always on hand to answer any questions but the signage aand the exhibits themselves say it all.

This place is a small local museum, that tells the history of Rottnest Island. Entry is a gold coin donation, that being $1 or $2. If you need to kill time this will help.

Lovely man at the desk. Gold coin donation and he gave the kids a rotto passport. Had a 20minute walk around reading on the history of the island. Little kids got a little board.

Just a gold coin donation gives you access to this small yet informative museum. Well worth it and there is lots to see.

You could easily spend an hour or so looking at all the exhibits at the museum. Gold coin donation entry. Has information on social and natural history of Rottnest. Well set out with plenty of room to move about.
