Hopped off the island explorer bus at Salmon Bay. The water looked so clean and clear. Seeing a huge osprey best was an added bonus.

On this visit the bay was all but deserted, well worth the walk from the Settlement. It is impossible to say which of Rottnest is the best. Salmon Bay on a quiet day is pretty idyllic.

We inspected the bay from the road. Good views and very clean water. A few boats were checking it out.

The Salmon Bay is surrounded by land. What I like the most about this bay is that the water is really clear. it would be perfect for snorkeling. I wish I had my snorkeling with me. I enjoyed admiring it. Worthwhile to see!

During the first day of our trip to WA we visited Rottnest Island and rented bikes for the whole day. Cycling on Rottnest island is great fun, with Little Salmon Bay as a snorkeling highlight! You can easily spend all day on the island!

Salmon bay is a unique and beautiful spot on Rottnest island. The beautiful sands and clear water proves an excellent tourist spot but it’s also not that busy so it’s not overwhelming!

Little salmon beach. A small but quiet, beautiful beach. Also very clear and attractive... I think the biggest attraction of Rottnest is that there are few artficial structures such as cafe, bar or luxury resorts which maybe lucrative business. So it may be a little...More

Beautiful snorkeling and a beautiful outlook. You can bus or bike ride to get there. Good walkway to get down to the beach.

Snorkling here is amazing - crystal clear water. There are about 10 underwater information plaques. If you swim from 1 to another you will learn about the coral and other marine life. This beach is quite sheltered from wind and waves making it suitable for...More
