Great trip with Tim from the Holiday Park on a beach buggy. Impressed with his depth of knowledge and I understanding of the history

There is plenty of pink to see here without your rose colored glasses along side the gorgeously pink lake. There are even a few spots where you can walk into the pink water and check out the pure white salt deposits on the edge of the water

Nice white sand beach stretching both sides of the jetty and access ramp. A few 4WD on the beach, possibly belonging to the boats at anchor near the shore. The exposed reef is better viewed from the lookout, fairly spectacular on the day with waves breaking the exposed sections. Not sure why the place is called Port Gregory when all maps and my GPS have it recorded vas Gregory.

A lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by. After taking a drive to see the Pink lake we popped into Port Gregory. We took the 4wd onto beach and found a hut to sit under and swim, snorkelled and catch crabs. Great little beach.
Toilets and picnic area available.

A small seaside town with a beautiful protected bay for swimming. Great fishing both from the beach and from boats (need to bring your own boat no charters available). Excellent for crayfishing with plenty of reds available.
Lots of attractions with the pink lake being only a few hundred meters from the township and a popular tourist attraction. The Lynton convict depot only a few kilometers from town is also worth a look for the history of the area. Kalbarri is a short 30 to 40 minute drive north but we prefer the peace and friendly vibe of Port Gregory over Kalbarri which can be very busy at times.
Pot Gregory welcomes off road vehicles so its great to be able to find somewhere you can still be welcomed to do this. There is a caravan park which the owners are very friendly as are the locals and a general store that stocks the necessitys and some treats. It also has a small liquor shop in the general store and fuel avaialable at the caravan park.
All in all a great place to stay or call through for a day trip. Accomodation is available at the caravan park or some places on airbnb.com.
Dont tell too many people though we can keep it our little secret :)

We went to the pink lake first...amazing to see pink water! Spent some time walking about this phenomenon, and then drove into Lake Gregory itself and walked along the Beach. Lovely little place, lots of parking available.

We came here while driving to Kalbarri from Geraldton, and after stopping to check out the Pink Lake lookout, it's only a short drive to Port Gregory. There's ample parking right near the beach, where there are a couple of gazebos and picnic tables.

After enjoying some lunch, we had a lovely stroll along the beach. It's almost as nice as Harrocks Beach, which is about 30 minutes south of here. Like Harrocks, there is a natural reef quite a long way out, which creates a large natural lagoon, with clear blue water. It's not quite as pretty as Harrocks, perhaps, but certainly still beautiful, and ideal for a dip or a beach walk. 4WD vehicles can also drive straight onto the beach, which was flat and firm.

There's not much to the town itself, but the beach is certainly stunning, and especially since it is so close to Pink Lake, with great scenic views of the lake on the way in, we were very glad to have spent some time here.
