We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering booking. We booked a Kalbarri Canyon and coastal cliffs (with extended Pink Lake) flight. On the day of the flight, the weather was not looking good, with high winds and rain present. I was some what concerned about the wind, but we were assured that although the flight may be somewhat bumpy at times, we would have a great time. The scenic flight in a four seater Cesna was excellent. Although we did experience some wind and rain, the pilot changed the suggested itinerary to meet the weather conditions being experienced and his skills ensured that the impact of the weather was minimal and by no means uncomfortable. The views seen of the Canyon, coastal cliffs and the pink lakes were spectacular. I can imagine that they would have been even better on a sunny day. The pilot was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and shared his own experiences with us. Thank you Lachlan for a fun and enjoyable flight.

Such an amazing way to view this ancient landscape. From 400ft above the coastal cliffs the strata of the sedimentary rock appeared like an artist’s palette of different colours of ochre. Seeing humpbacks and their calves migrating south as we flew above the ocean and learned about the gruesome mutiny of the shipwrecked Batavia inspired me to find out more about this important event in our state’s Martin’s history. Daniel, our pilot, skilfully navigated the reliable Cessna 182 while my wife captured the mosaic of coral reefs that surround the Abrolhos Islands. At this point we were only half way there, finishing the tour taking in the stunning hues of pink over the nutrient-rich salt lakes next door to Port Gregory then following the inland gorges we’d walked just days before at Z-bend, Natures window and 4 Ways. Kalbarri is truly a little oasis at the mouth of the mighty Murchison and the opportunity to see it from an aerial perspective was an absolute privilege. Thanks to the entire team at Adrenaline Aviation. Kalbarri scenic flights is a must for those who want to fully appreciate what Kalbarri has to offer. Do yourself a favour and jump aboard for the trip of a lifetime.

We did the pink lake trip today, and it was just wonderful. Alex contacted me via WhatsApp the day before our flight as there was an option to take a more extensive trip opening up, unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of that but it was so nice of him to offer and contact me to confirm everything. Alex our pilot greeted us at the airport and walked us through the safety briefing. The plane was great and our flight was spectacular - not only visually but Alex also provided a ton of info on the local area, what to see, and details on the pink lake. I'd highly recommend checking out Kalbarri Scenic Flights/ Nationwest Aviation when you are in the area!

My wife, son and I went on the "Ultimate" flight experience flying over the gorges, the Pink Lake and then out to The Abrolhos Islands. The three of us debated for quite a while about whether to take this flight owing to the cost. It was worth it. We had wanted to go out to the Abrolhos owing to it's unique historical connection with WA, and the idea of catching a ride on someone's boat for several hours didn't appeal. The pilot, Lachie, was very good in settling the nerves of some of our trio, and his helpful and humorous manner made the day that much better. He made changes to the order that we flew over things to make it more comfortable, and flow better. Our time in Turtle Bay on East Wallabi Island was great; swimming, snorkeling around a reef, enjoying a nice antipasto lunch, hearing the story and history associated with the Abrolhos and a nature walk. We didn't feel rushed as can happen on some tours. The flight itself was great with plenty of opportunity for taking photos and getting great views. Thanks again to Lachie, the very smooth landings were greatly welcomed by the more wary among us, for which he is recommended for his own personal 5 star rating.

Our flight to the Abrolhos Islands was amazing! The tour included so much more than we expected. Kalbarri township, Coastal Cliffs, Pink Lake, Abrolhos Islands, Batavia story and whales!!. Pilot Hayden took care of us the whole time with his interesting commentary, knowledge of the history of the area and he made a great arvo tea on the beach. We felt that we were in good, safe and professional hands the whole time. Highly recommend! 🐳🏝️🛩️🧑‍✈️

We travelled to Abrolhos in May 2023. We were the only 2 on the tour. Lachlan's our Pilot and guide and exceeded expectations on both. We were treated to informative commentary on both flights as well as a guided walk across the wallaby Island seeing wallabies, several species of lizards and Eagles. Snorkelling gear was provided and we were directed to best spot to go. Once again Lachlan was spot on. The flight back was even better as we flew over the islands, the pink lake, and by the coastal cliffs. Lachlan gave excellent commentary on the wreck and mutiny of the Batavia, the Pink Lake and coastal cliffs. We thoroughly recommend the tour and pay the extra to do the flight over the pink lake and cliffs.

Nationwest Aviation created a unique yet exciting experience for us. In particular, Lachlan and Hayden flew the two planes brilliantly. Lachlan took us on a bushwalk around East Wallabi Island. Their bank of knowledge is breathtaking, their banter light-hearted. The snorkel was one of a kind; there was shallow coral on one side, deep water on the other - Hayden navigated the terrain exceptionally. Aside from the tangible activities, the atmosphere built by these two pilots certainly augmented the experience; they shared their insights in aviation, as well as the history behind the Abrolhos Island group. Overall, a mesmerising and picturesque experience.

I was taking 5 family members (aged 17 to 70s) on a road trip from Perth to Kalbarri and decided to surprise them with an aerial view of the pink lake (Hutt Lagoon).

My family members aren't the adventurous type so I really wasn't sure if they'd run off at the sight of the Cessna. The surprise was revealed as we drove into Kalbarri Airport. To my relief, everybody was excited (or nervous, I couldn't tell). Our pilot Ashley has an easy going manner and humor which helped a great deal to put everyone at ease before the flight. Whereas it had been grey and overcast the previous day, thank heavens we were blessed with perfect flying weather.

As we lifted off the runway into the clear blue skies, Ashley's commentary made us aware of the sights rolling past underneath. Come to think of it, the pilot has to fly, talk to us, and communicate with air traffic. No easy feat but I was seated behind him and could see that he handled it like a pro.

The experience was better than I had imagined. Australia's vast and rugged terrain is best appreciated from above. We followed the meandering Murchison River and spotted kayakers out on their own adventure. Formed over millions of years, the Gorge's jagged formations were a sight to behold.

As we approached the pink lake, the water's surface was shimmering from the sun's rays, it's pink hue looked vibrant under a cloudless deep blue sky. Ashley made a few passes so all of us had a good view and took many photos.

We flew low along the coast on the return leg of the journey, passing some attractions such as island rock, eagle gorge, blue holes beach etc. Ashley said we might spot whales and we did! Three times we saw whales swimming close to the coastal cliffs heading South with their calves.

All credit to the pilot, the flight was smooth as silk so we felt comfortable throughout.

Would I recommend them? Most definitely!

Wow, this sounds like a better description than our website copy! We're so glad that you enjoyed your flight and Ash was pretty chuffed when he read your review. It's great when customers aren't just happy with the beautiful scenery, but get something special from the tour itself. We hope to see you again soon and maybe next time we can take you out to the Abrolhos islands - now that you've seen that a small aircraft isn't so scary :)

What a fabulous day we had on our trip to the Abrolhos Island. Our pilot Lachlan was very informative from the moment we left the airstrip. We learnt so much from him about the Batavia that we never knew. The day on the island was amazing with the beautiful water. Again we learnt more about the island and the Batavia from Lachlan. After snorkeling we had a nice lunch. Highly recommend this trip if you are in Kalbarri. We would definitely do it again

An excellent and interesting day out! Many beautiful natural attractions on display, the gorges, pink lake, then onto the Abrolhos islands for a pleasant lunch and walking tour of the islands flora and fauna.
Our pilot, Lachlan, made our day a pleasure, his sense of humour serves him well, and most importantly, we felt safe, even when landing in crosswinds!
A great adventure, go for it!
