We did the half day conoeing tour with our guide Neil. We have a 4yo and were a bit concern at the beginning, but as there is no rush and Neil was with us all the time, we enjoyed the canoeing through the river very much. Saw lots of fish, birds and even some emus. I highly recommend it!

We booked this tour months ago before heading to kalbarri for the new year. I looked through the internet and phoned this company with friendly and welcoming information. We were picked up at 8am form our caravan park and welcomed by our tour guide Neil. I was a bit sceptical at first, as I am not the strongest or fittest of the 44 year olds, but this tour was easy going and we had a stop on the way up the river to take in some sights and photos. A bit further down the river we had a wonderful cooked breakfast, tea and coffee cooked by Neil. The kids two 15 year old girls and the two 16 year old boys had fun playing around in the water and on the canoes while us adults got to sit back and relax and just got to know each other. On the way back we got to stop at a nice little sandy beach and have a swim. This tour would have had to be one of the best tours I have been on here in Perth. Thanks so much To Neil who was very friendly, down to earth and very knowledgeable of the area.

It took a few days for the owners to confirm our booking as there was three adults and they weren't sure it was worth providing a tour. In the end they agreed to run the tour for the three of us.
Neil took us out for a leisurely paddle down the Murchison River. It was a very easy paddle appropriate for people of all ages. He cooked us a tasty full breakfast BBQ which we enjoyed despite the flies buzzing around. Neil provided lots of information about the surrounding area and showed us the historic Murchison House which has been turned into a small museum. Transport to and from the tour is provided and they pick up from your accommodation. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Fantastic morning with Alex , a great way to spend a quiet couple of hours on the river, with a hot breakfast break.

My boyfriend and I were not only treated to beautiful weather but excellent company. As soon as Neil picked us up from where we were staying he was friendly and insightful. The drive to Murchison Station in his Ocka truck gave us a good view of the National Park and not soon after we were patting goats and learning about the very surprising history behind the place. With ease we were straight in a Canoe on what seemed like pristine glass water. Wildlife wasn't far away throughout the whole river seeing fish, wild goats, emus, kites and various other birds. Neil knows the river very well and will always be able to help you out if you aren't the best at canoeing but if you are capable like we were you just cruise along chatting away. We swam at a little beach while Neil cooked up a mean brekkie (eggs, bacon, rolls, baked beans and refreshments). The site is also rich in indigenous history and Neil will tell you all about it. Canoeing back we got a chance to swim again and the water was lovely. We were dropped back off to our accommodation some time after midday. Honestly could not have asked for anything better. I suggest you book as a group (bigger the better) as there were plenty of canoes to go around! Thank you for the experience!

We had a fantastic day with Neil and Alex. We spent the first half of the day canoeing on the Murchison with the delightful and knowledgeable Neil and were treated to a yummy bbq breakfast. The second half of the day was spent with Alex sandboarding the amazing dunes in kalbarri. Alex was amazing and accommodating with any request as one of our group wanted to fish while we took a break from sandboarding. We were picked up and dropped off on time and I would highly recommend contacting Alex and Neil when you're next in Kalbarri. Certainly made our stay exciting. We will go back for the wildflowers later this year and give these guys a call. Would highly recommend this company to all ages. Great value for money.

We had a fab time with these guys. They collected us on time and from the outset were warm, friendly and funny. They were full of local knowledge and made the trip fun for our kids. Nothing was too much trouble and they stopped several times along the way to allow the kids to swim and swing on a rope into the river. This was an absolute highlight for the kids. Our guides were so warm and friendly, the kids took to them right away and had a ball with them. I highly recommend this trip, it's been the highlight of our stay in Kalbarri so far. The paddling is easy for all age levels and being out on the river in that awesome countryside is just really special.

This was what a holiday is - a great tour leader - great venue - really looked after.
Alex picked us up from out accommodation in his vintage OCKA tour 'bus' which was so much fun. There were eight of us - my wife and I, our son, his wife and their 2 1/2yo son, youngest daughter and her daughter (6) and son (4) and we made up the entire group..
First Alex took us to historic Murchison House for a look around and to pat the goats and then back on the bus and down to the river. After a safety talk, we all got into three canoes and paddled down stream about two kilometers. The water level was down and in a couple of places we had to pull the canoes over the shallows - it was all part of the fun.
On arriving at the 'camp' Alex set about cooking breakfast whilst we all went exploring and there was lots to see.
It was a hearty Aussie breakfast or was it brunch and then into the water for a good swim
There was never any hurry, never any rush to meet a schedule and when we all had had enough it was back into the canoes and back upstream and back to our accommodation by early afternoon.
This is a tour that I would highly recommend if you want an easy morning and to see a bit of history and wilderness.

Picked up from hotel/motel at 8am. Taken to Murchison Station where we were shown around then onto river for canoeing. Thank you for an awesome day out canoeing on the Murchison. Steven and I had a great time. Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable about the area. Learnt a lot of interesting facts. Breakfast BBQ was yummo. Definitely be back again.

Hi,
I wondered if there was a lower age limit for children. I have a 2 yr old and a 5 yr old. Would this be an appropriate activity for us?
Thank you

Hi Nicola, no problem we can look after the littlies as we have some infant life jackets and our canoe tour is fully guided meaning the guide canoes along side with you for the whole tour making it a very safe and entertaining option Thanks for your enquiry Cheers Alex and Wendy
