Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is hands down one of the highlights of our Kalbarri trip! The guides Col and Ben were awesome and made us feel safe and comfortable. Coming from someone who won't change a lightbulb cause I normally can't handle heights .... To being able to abseil down a 35m wall..... All because the tour was so well run, and Col ensured us about our absolute safety and not to mention his comedy skill definitely helped ease my mind 100% :D this tour also takes you to see the Z-Bend gorge and take you down the gorge into the river, so you can really experience and see the most stunning rocky landscape
Thanks for a great day guys, definitely recommend this tour for anyone going to Kalbarri!

This was our families first attempt at abseiling. We went as a family group of 3 kids, 4 adults (including my parents who are seniors) Col was able to keep every person engaged and excited. My 10 year old son was very full on in his excitement and Col was very good with him. He kept us laughing with his jokes and the kids thought he was fantastic. We learnt a lot about the area and the history of the gorges.
It was a warm day (Much cooler once you got in the gorge) and definitely needed our 2-3 litres of water each. Take plenty of snacks to keep your energy up.
It was a decent hike but we were encouraged to take it at our own speed and stop for a breather when we needed.
Will be something my kids will remember forever.
Definitely recommend this activity for people visiting the area.

An absolutely amazing experience. There were about 16 in our group ranging in age from 12 to 60, the day ran smoothly and the guides were very patient, extremely encouraging and really friendly. I joined the group on my own and they looked after me and made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained in detail from the beginner 4m abseil through to the final 35m decline. We were able to abseil 4 times - 1 x 4m, 2 x 25m and 1 x 35m. The feeling after completing all descents was amazing and I'd highly recommend it for all skill levels. The guides know exactly how to make you feel comfortable and capable. The Z bend area in Kalbarri National Park was breathtaking and after the abseil we were able to walk along the river for an optional swim. The water was cold but worth taking a dip. The guide shows you the best places to swim and you can stay in the gorge as long as you like. It's byo lunch and water. The day runs from 8.15am to about 2pm depending how long you spend in the gorge. Definatly the highlight of my stay in Kalbarri, would highly recommend this experience for all ages.

About as good a day as it gets. Our two oldest kids - 10 and 8 years - were doing it for the first time, and they loved every moment. Col maintains a steady line of cheeky banter and calmly helps everyone build confidence on the ropes and the little training wall before moving to the bigger ones. The view from the highest wall looking out into the gorge is honestly unbeatable. Having a dip in the river afterwards completes the experience.

Col is one of those guides that has your attention from the moment you arrive at the Z Bend car park. His attitude and sense of humour is positive and inclusive from the very start of the day right through to the end. This tour is informative and fun for everyone. There’s no limitation with each tour group member being made to feel welcome. This is one of those experiences everyone needs to enjoy. Never did I think I’d be repelling off a 35m cliff face. Yesterday I did….. was one of the most funnerest moments of my life 🤪. Thanks Col and Lily xxx

Highly recommend Col and the wonderful little helpers Lilly and Coops. Great communication from start to finish, highly knowledgeable about the area with interesting facts to show and tell along the way. Col has a knack for explaining how to absail and ensure your safety, exhibiting his knowledge around abseiling. He knows how to help you feel comfortable and safe and make the tour enjoyable. Character, banter and humour are an absolute bonus. All round fantastic experience with a brilliant tour guide. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Our tour was changed to 6.30am due to hotter conditions. After an entertaining delivery of instructions from Ben (buggalugs) A short hike to the gorge for photos and then awesome jokes from other tour guide Col had me in hysterics, listening to the safety briefing at the abseil point . 4m 25m and 35m drops. Great fun highly recommend

My husband and I did this abseiling adventure 15 years ago..this time round it was a family affair with our 2 kids (14 & 11) in tow.
Col was great! We especially loved his quick wit and sense of humour. He created a great atmosphere with the entire group and gave us all the confidence to walk backwards off the edge of the gorge.
We had a really fun day in one of the most spectacular backdrops.
Great value for the best Mother's Day experience creating memories as a family.
Thanks again Col!

Wow what a fantastic experience to abseil in the gorges. Cole and Ben were fantastic, calm and experienced at putting everyone at ease. Abseiling was followed by a short walk for a refreshing swim in the waterhole. Thank you to both of you.

Cole and his team were absolutely fantastic, he was a very informative guide with lots of interesting information and facts about the area. He was more than happy to engage with all the crazy questions and conversations from my 9yo ADHD/ASD son. His team entertained both mt 9yo boy and 7yo girl, joking with them and helping them jump into water at the gorge.
The abseiling itself was really well run, with great equipment, clear instructions/processes and amazing support for the whole family. We had an amazing time hanging out with the whole crew, an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend doing this activity if you visit Kalbarri, thanks Cole and crew 😁
