We did both the sunset cruise and the whale watching tour, both of which were excellent. On the sunset cruise we also saw quite a few whales and dolphins, and Vaughn went out of his way to take us closer to the activity (even though the sunset cruise does not focus on whale watching!). Plus the lobster dip is yum. On the whale watching tour we enjoyed seeing a number of whales and dolphins again. Even though they were more elusive that day, we were able to spot them and watch their activities. Vaughn was right when he told us that if you see a whale's tail go up, they are probably going to dive down and would be under for up to 45 minutes! We saw at least three different tails go up, whereupon the whales disappeared again. Huge respect for them and for Kate and Vaughn, who made both trips so enjoyable.

We met at the marina at 7am then headed out to sea to check the Lobster Pots, Vaughn was our skipper and Kate was the deckhand you don’t have to travel out to far, to collect the pots Vaughn has a wealth of knowledge that he shares as you a cruising along we pulled up 10-11 pots the catch is shared with everyone on the boat at the end. While out there you get a little taster of lobster boiled and bbq. The pots are then put back on the way in. We paid cash on the day or you can pay online. I would throughly recommend this 2 hr tour it was great value for money. We would do it again if staying in Kalbarri again in our travels.

This has to be one of the best boat tours we have done! Vaughn and his sister in-law were fun, casual and informative. We relaxed from the moment we were greeted on the pier. We saw sharks along the way and scored 4 lobsters b/w us 🦞🦞🦞🦞. Well worth the money. PS We loved the homemade chilli jam on the bbq lobster snack.

Great experience! We saw almost close to 8 or 9 humpback whales and a pod of dolphins during the entire 3 hours tour. We had 2 active whales coming up so close to our boat that we got wet! Those whales are majestic and make you feel so grateful to be able to witness such sights. The crews onboard was so friendly and proactive in telling us where to spot the whales. It was such a pleasure. Highly recommended tour.

The operators Rose, Kate, Mark and Vangh were very friendly and made all very welcome. The booking and confirmation process were seamless. We travelled with our two children who were very excited to be out on the waters. We pulled 6 pots and Mark and Vangh explained the process of lobster fishing. They are passionate and knowledgeable of their trade and we learnt heaps listening to them. We also got to sample lobster prepared 3 ways! The bonus of the trip, we saw a shark, a dolphin and a seal! Highly recommend Kalbarri Rock Lobster Tour and Charter for those looking for to do something different while in town.

We were warmly welcomed on-board by our cruise hosts, and the information shared was very interesting and informative. The samples of lobster were a good size, all so delicious and tasty. We totally recommend all the cruises the awesome "Nebraska II" conducts, the boat is both comfortable and accommodating, and staff just amazing.

Honestly..... could not fault this tour at all. We did the morning pot pull tour with friends and all our kids.

Vaughn, Marky, Kate and Rose are all in the right business. Super helpful, relaxed and have amazing knowledge.

The kids absolutely loved seeing the lobster being pulled and watching Marky wrestle the Octopus. The sighting of the bronze whaler shark was a highlight for all of us.

I can’t even describe the food we were served. It was amazing.

If you visit Kalbarri. This is worth the money and you won’t be disappointed.

Today, on the last day of our holiday we decided to book the lobster pot pull trip after a recommendation from a lady having coffee beside us in a cafe in town.
Best trip ever!! Lovely friendly family run business of 3 generations of crayfish fishers so they know their stuff. Seeing the pots coming out of the water was a thrill plus learning about their life cycle, habitats, and seeing them being measured all added to the trip. We got to sample then in a warm roll then two flavours cooked fresh on three bbq onboard.
We even got to see some bronze whaler sharks right up close.
Great photo opportunities holding some of the lobsters too and to round out all off you get to take some of the catch home for dinner - yum!!!

We received a phone call to ask if we'd move our trip forward due to weather. We were welcomed aboard and set off down the Murchison River.
It was a cloudy day so the chance of good sunset colours wasn't good, but we did get some sunbeams on the horizon.
The hosts were friendly and informative, providing information on the coastline and some history of the area.
A treat on the way back in was warm lobster dip & crackers and we were given the recipe as well.!!
Absolutely worth it even though there was a rolling swell & no spectacular sunset. I'd definitely recommend this company

We did two exceptional tours with this Charter and Tour operator. Though they offer deep sea and whale watching too.

Firstly the Lobster Pot and pull tour, what a bargain $85pp and not only did we get to learn a few fun fact we also got to take home a heap of lobbies (4each) Skipper Vaughn and Social sensation Kate were top notch, the boat was excellent and to be far we are pretty judgie but we couldn’t fault one thing.

So we decided to go on their Sunset cliff tour and it was also a pearla. Another bargain for $50 pp. great music, BYO drinks and nibbles, though we did get a bit of lobster dip which was yum.

Don’t go for second best - go with the No1 family owned Kalbarri operators. You will love it. We will absolutely be back on our next lap🙌🏻🐪
