In a world where goodness is Insta confected, Leticia & Randal know how to serve up a chilled experience that ticks all the boxes to reconnect us to the simple joys in life.

Ages 11-59 enjoyed kayaking & the smoky pleasures of good food lovingly prepared riverside with local ingredients washed down with plenty of whatever takes your fancy …

Plus after freak rains there was lots of mud. Mud makes you laugh. And Leticia’s enthusiasm for life is infectious alongside Randal who you just know could get you out of any fix.

Do yourself a favour and book this 1/2 day delight. You’ll remember how you felt for years to come. Even the puppy sang with the ukulele as the sun set on the drive home 😍

I stumbled across this tour when googling “things to do in Kalbarri”, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Leticia and Randal were fantastic hosts - they shared a wealth of knowledge about the history of the station and their warm personalities made it easy to connect with them and other members on the tour.

We enjoyed paddling in a canoe down the river and my partner even had a swim which was very refreshing.

The food was absolutely delicious and well presented - not things we would normally eat (kangaroo, goat), however the flavours were delicious and we scraped the plates clean. Everyone was asking for the recipes!

This tour was the highlight of our holiday - peaceful surrounds, the best hospitality and learnt some interesting g history about the area. Strongly recommend this tour!

Hands down the best tour in Kalbarri! The lovely hosts Letitia and Randal along with their two gorgeous dogs, warmly welcome you into their patch of paradise to enjoy the simple things in life whilst reconnecting with nature.

A look through the Murchison Station to learn of its history, canoeing along the Murchison, activities for the kids (they can help bake a cake or collect the firewood), climbing rocks and exploring the bush, with amazing views from the top of the nearby rocks!

Lastly, the campfire cooking was incredible with plentiful offerings of delicious food, washed down with your drink of choice, all whilst eating together with your new friends in a peaceful bush setting.

Highly recommend these guys and this tour, we will certainly be back next time we visit Kalbarri, and can’t wait for more puppy cuddles!

Randal, Leticia & Parra were kind, knowledgable and attentive hosts. The food was absolutely incredible, as was the kayaking up the river! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone as it was well worth the cost!

Thank you so much for a great day!

This was such a wonderful experience and the highlight of our holiday. Leticia and Randel were amazing and showcased the natural environment so well. It was such a beautiful afternoon splashing about in canoes with the kids, relaxing on the shore then settling in for a phenomenal gourmet meal (I still don’t quite know how they managed to produce such unbelievably high quality high end food from the simple campfire) by the side of the beautiful Murchison river. It was amazingly good value. Letitia and Randel were wonderful with all the kids and included them in the baking and cooking. I could not recommend this tour more. If you are heading Kalbarri way book it now!!

This tour was so much fun for any age.. We are seniors!
We had a ball, even challenged ourselves to try canoeing, nearly capsized a couple of times, but yes we were equipped with life jackets.... Leticia and Randal didn't forget anything...
After canoeing there was a Restaurant quality degustation on a camp fire... Would not have believed it if I didn't eat it, most delicious.. included sea food and some Bush tucker topped off with a delicious Spice cake we were invited to help make (so you know its fresh as).
The tour was seamless included stopping at Murchison homestead seeing the local raptor.. Beautiful owl in a Shearing shed, history of the area, good knowledge of local history from both guides.
Then over the river and on to the campsite, such a beautiful place.. Great sense of peace. This is a tour well worth doing if you're staying in Kalbarri and great value for money. Thank you Leticia and Randal for a great memory, and extra treat for Perra for being a loyal companion and entertaining us.
PS Leticia also serenaděd us on the way home with her ukele.. Not much she can't do!

Thanks to it being cooler in Kalbarri than we’re used to, we booked this tour for something different to do - and we didn’t regret it!

We’ve been going to Kalbarri for 15 years & we learned new things on this tour and explored a part of the Murchison we hadn’t seen before. Our teenage girls really enjoyed it, too!

The food alone is worth every cent of the fee - we were blown away with the quantity & quality, and pleasantly surprised that it included drinks!

Leticia & Randall are fun hosts (and amazing cooks). I can’t wait to do it again with friends!

Magical afternoon with The Murchison experience. Leticia and Randal were wonderful hosts. Our family of four loved every minute of tour. Leticia is super welcoming and Randall full of interesting stories about the area. The kids enjoyed helping to make damper and a delicious cake, and we all had lots of fun kayaking in the river. It was so relaxing sitting by the river with a couple of drinks, music playing, eating delicious food prepared by our hosts. The kangaroo ragout was amazing! The trip home listening to Leticia play the ukulele as the sun was setting was magic. Highly recommend!

The Murchison Experience is really a unique, authentic, one of a kind experience which I cannot recommend highly enough. Together, Leticia and Randal present an afternoon of history, interesting facts and thought provoking discussion as they take you through Murchison Station to a quaint bush setting nestled on the banks of the Murchison River. Here they invite you to assist in preparing traditional bush foods such as damper which is then cooked on the open fire, while you canoe, walk, swim or just sit and chat with a drink in hand. Throughout the afternoon Leticia continues to provide an abundance of delicious food, culminating in a meal of fresh, tasty, Australian tucker which perfectly compliments the beautiful surrounds. These delightful hosts provide a not to be forgotten experience which my whole family thoroughly enjoyed.

Randal and Leticia and Perra the Kelpie cross collected us from our accommodation on time and we headed off to gather everyone else in the Oka (ATV). As we headed to the station we were treated to historical accounts of the region, of the traditional owners the Nanda people and the European visitors. Leticia is an interesting and engaging guide whose love of the region is evident.
A tour of the Murchison House Station revealed a fascinating story or two and some relics of a quirky past.
A short drive later and we found the river camp kitchen, some canoes and the best outdoor dining location you could wish for.
After a wonderful (moderately easy) canoe along the river, we landed back at the bank to find the wine and beer, pizzas and cheese and great conversation waiting for us. Randal was cooking a whole fish on the cam fire, Leticia had made damper and was making a bush cake! After playing with Perra the dog, we indulged in the BEST example of simple, delicious for from nature and were full both end.
As we drove back later, the sun had set and we had a musical accompaniment as the whole experience settled around us. It stayed with us the next day. Heartily recommend this fantastic experience. It was the highlight of our stay in Kalbarri.
