Can’t put into words how amazing the Murchison experience was. From the lovely hosts, the educational experience at the homestead, the paddle up and down the river and the amazing food. It’s definitely an experience for the whole family, with my children having a ball. Highly recommend and can’t wait to do it again next time we are in Kalbarri.

We had the most amazing experience with Randal and Leticia. They are both knowledgeable in local history and are great story tellers. We enjoyed every part of the tour: the station tour, drive on the awd bus, canoeing and dinner by the river. It was a beautiful evening by the riverside. My 2 young kids (aged 2. 5 and 5) entertained themselves with the rustic swing, playing with rocks and the hammocks. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Randal and Leticia. Food was unbelievable good, we left completely stuffed! Great food and drinks, great company and gorgeous setting, can't ask more for a perfect evening.

We booked this tour with 5 small kids and they had an absolutely brilliant time cooking with the tour guide, canoeing, playing in the bush and learning about the history of the Murchison Station and River surrounds. The food that was cooked for us was incredible. It felt like an outdoor restaurant in the beautiful outback. They even cooked a birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday. The couple that ran the tour were such lovely people who were very knowledgeable about the area and were great with entertaining the kids. Well worth the money!! So easy to book through their website.

The Murchison Experience is really a unique, authentic, one of a kind experience which I cannot recommend highly enough. Together, Leticia and Randal present an afternoon of history, interesting facts and thought provoking discussion as they take you through Murchison Station to a quaint bush setting nestled on the banks of the Murchison River. Here they invite you to assist in preparing traditional bush foods such as damper which is then cooked on the open fire, while you canoe, walk, swim or just sit and chat with a drink in hand. Throughout the afternoon Leticia continues to provide an abundance of delicious food, culminating in a meal of fresh, tasty, Australian tucker which perfectly compliments the beautiful surrounds. These delightful hosts provide a not to be forgotten experience which my whole family thoroughly enjoyed.

Such an amazing unique authentic experience for the whole family. ‘Best tour ever’ Our kids want to do it again tomorrow! Leticia and Randal are so passionate, had great knowledge and interesting facts and stories of Kalbarri and provided a well organised afternoon. Plenty of food and drink for everyone with so much to see and do. It’s was lovely to enjoy the simple things in life and appreciate the land for what it is. Will definitely do it again when we visit Kalbarri again. A ‘must do’ for all travellers! Thanks for a perfect afternoon!
