Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After visiting some of the other natural attractions along the coastline, we felt that this attraction is some what underwhelming. The rockfaces that slope to sea level is interesting and the short trails to each lookout worthwhile. Read later that the rockface is "best viewed at sunset when glowing light against the sandstone cliff is especially spectacular." I felt that many of the attractions along the coast are best viewed shoreward so that one can get a real appreciation and views of nature at work, past and present.

The Shellhouse Grandstand offers beautiful views of the sea and the cliffs below. There is a small car park and the patch are very well maintained and well surfaced. It is an easy stroll with gentle gradient, suitable for anyone really. Just off the road as you enter the Kalbarri area coming in from Geraldton.

This is one of three lookout spots along the National Park South Access Road turnoff along the Kalbarri Coast. There is a small carpark and very nice sea and cliff views here.
The Bigurda Trail between Natural Bridge (south) and Eagle Gorge (north) passes through Shell House Grandstand for those intending to hike through. Bring a pair of binoculars as well and try a bit of whale watching here. We spotted a few during a 15 minutes stop here.

Not sure what we were actually meant to be looking at as we were expecting a 'shellhouse' but it is just impressive rock faces.

Visited here early in the day and saw a pod of dolphins. We also saw whales further out to sea. Really beautiful with the morning light on the cliffs.

We saw whales from the lookout and were fascinated by how different this section was to different parts of the Kalbarri coast we had already visited.

This spot is similar to the other cliff lokouts around Kalbarri. Stunning views, wel organised with toilets and good parking. Well worth a look in.

The rock formations and strata patterns I found fascinating and there is every chance you will see whales and or Bigurda Wallabies or other wildlife. Well formed paths give easy access to these formations but no toilets are available at these points.

There is a great view from the nearby viewpoint.
Easy to get to by car and there are good footpaths.
We saw a lot of dolphins and whales here during our visit.

My sister and I went to view this on a blustery day but the walk felt safe and the cliff face and sea views were amazing as the ocean crashed at the foot of the rocks.
