Navy pier Exmouth with Dive Ningaloo
Jun. 2021 • Solo
Did a double dive with the crew from Dive Ningaloo, what an amazing experience, the site was amazing for the amount if marine life.
The crew from Dive Ningaloo were amazing, I have spent tje lastv3vdays diving with them, excellent bunch of people & the best part was their genuine enthusiasm & love for what they do.
Thank you Dive Ningaloo.

Best Dive in Australia
May 2021 • Friends
This Pier dive is amazing,it is close by, easy entry into water , not a vast distance to travel underwater yet it is like being in an aquarium. If you like big stuff this is your dive. Staff are excellent and they are very cautious. Highly recommended

Happiest experience ever
Oct. 2020 • Solo
I did my very first dive right here at the pier just yesterday and I’m not lying when I say it was the best experience I’ve ever had my entire life. My dive instructor (I think her name was tam?) was very thorough with the safety precautions and took her time to make sure no procedure was being skipped. She was also very patient with me when it took time to perfect some of the procedure. When FINALLY reaching the bottom she continued to check my equipment and just made the whole experience sooooo much better. It was definitely easier to have someone swim with when the sharks were eyeing me down. Definitely worth doing twice.

Terrible experience with company
Sep. 2019 • Solo
I booked a tour and as it’s a top dive site in the world, was really excited. However I felt that the dive instructor/divemaster was really rude and possibly racist against Asian people, and because of that I didn’t enjoy my dive at all. It was the worst dive of my life. First, the older woman who was in charge paired everyone off in groups and decided I would go with herself and an open water student she was training to become dive certified and was also Asian, she said this was due to my “inexperience,” (direct quote). However I had over 30 dives and was an advanced open water diver. This wouldn’t normally raise alarm except most of the other people on the bus who I talked to only had their open water certification with less than 10 dives in total and they were allowed to go in their own groups with a buddy (so they were far less experienced than I was). As soon as I got in the water, I struggled controlling myself because I felt I didn’t have enough weight and kept floating towards the surface, the divemaster REFUSED to give me an additional weight claiming I had enough and then yelled at me for swimming in circles, which I was doing because I was desperately trying not to bump into anything. My dive ended abruptly after her student lost control and floated towards the surface and I helped him regain control by giving him one of my weights. She then decided then my dive was over and made me swim all the way back to the pier on the surface of the water, which was quite a distance. After we were back on land, she then told me I was not a good diver and that was the reason that I had struggled. I would believe this except for the fact that I went on a dive with a different company in a different location ONE week later and the dive instructor I went with complimented me on how excellent of control I had in the water. I also later became a divemaster myself. I felt it was very unprofessional and unfair that they would pair me with a student they were training and that they refused to give me an additional weight when I asked, as well as ending my dive early, which I paid a large amount of $$ for. It’s a shame there’s only one dive company around to go on this dive as it would have been breathtaking if not for my terrible experience with the company.

'Profit over customer experience'
Feb. 2020
This was the quote from my tour guide who has previously observed what I experienced.

I booked a Navy Pier Discover Scuba Dive for this week and was told at the time that because it is a quieter time of year, they might transfer my booking on to the Muiron Islands dive instead. I was fine with this.

Two days before my dive, they told me the Navy Pier dive was not going ahead as I was the only booking.
I was only in Exmouth for 1 full day and could not be flexible with dates (which they offered). What they did do however was fill up the Muiron Islands dive without offering me a place as they were not prepared to resource the dive to cover a non-qualified diver.

I even arranged for 3 of my tour group to arrange their dives with Dive Ningaloo. But no diving for me.

When I next visit Exmouth, I will not be diving with them. Exceptionally friendly on booking but customer service was poor in the days prior to the dive. Those that did dive the Muiron Islands tour only saw coral and shoals of fish. They saw far more large sea life snorkeling off Coral Bay (Manta Rays, Reef Sharks and Turtles).

A great dive to do. The company is brilliant, very helpful and knowledgeable. Only thing I can fault, I'm pretty sure that this is NOT one of the Top Ten Dive Sites in the World (not on any list on Google) so false advertising? Perhaps it's Top Ten in Australia?? It's a shallow dive so you can dawdle but if you're doing a double dive, max of 50 minutes so you get your two dives in (You are limited to only diving on the slack tide). LOTS of fish to see, loved the Grey Nurse Sharks (2.5 - 3 metres) and I loved the huge Groupers. BFG (Big Friendly Grouper) he/she is gorgeous, weighing in at 250kgs!!

Outstanding 60 minute dive - do it!
Aug. 2019
What an incredible experience. The pier was teeming with life it is impossible to do the dive justice with words or photos! On the day we dived the visibility was excellent - well beyond the average of 5m. Dive Ningaloo provided a thorough briefing and set up the tanks ready to go. Crucially, this site can only be dived at slack tide so there is no time for messing around!

We did a dive tour with Dive Ningaloo and had the most wonderful time and saw thousands of fish! It was such a privilege to be able to dive in such a place. A must do if you come to Exmouth.

Thankyou Chez, Bonnie and Carla from Dive Ningaloo for an outstanding day. Not only are these ladies passionate about Exmouths ecology they are also the most informative, understanding people. If you are going to Exmouth please put this at the top of your list. Grey nurses, white tip reef sharks, eels, turtles, octopus and over 150 different kind of fish. It is a sanctuary and you are surrounded by marine life that is as curious about you as you are them. Get up close to the Big Friendly Groper. 💖💖💖
