Absolutely amazing time, I was umming and ahhing during the week and when I saw the weather forecast and the afternoon booking showing 1x 90min flight slot left I jumped on it. Its one thine to drive and swim around in the NP but to view it from above and take in the scale of it all, just amazing. Duncan is a great pilot and excellent guide, the promotional poster with whale sharks and manta rays isn't hammed up, we saw everything bar the humpbacks (that pesky thing called seasonal migration probably had something to do with it).
Top notch equipment, personalised flight styles and ambient music, knowledgeable running commentary, just brilliant
Sitting here looking up microlight training schools now that I'm home, it's that addictive.

Seeing humpback whales and the experience of the flight itself! Gav was an important incredible pilot and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The 90 min flight over the Exmouth peninsula meant that I got to see both the east and the west side of the peninsula, the ship wreck, loads of turtles, manta rays, sharks and to top it all off, humpback whales! You also get to control the flight urself which is incredible. The landing is done purely with wind as the motors are turned off while we are hang gliding for the last few minutes of the flight and it could not have been a smoother landing. Overall, it is definitely one of the most incredible experience in Exmouth and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was by far the best part of our trip and we did some incredible things! If your going to Exmouth I recommend this as a must do was just so awesome seen so much wildlife Whale Shark, Dugong, Humpbacks, 4 different types of sharks, Mantarays and hundredsof Turtles. It was honestly the most incredible feeling flying with no cabin around you, like a flying trike! Our pilots Dan & Duncan were absolutely fantastic informative and made us feel safe with smooth as landing and take off and taking some incredible photos of us to remember it forever. A memory I can share with my 14yo lad for the rest of our lives. Do yourself a favour & put this on your bucket list. Thanks heaps Christian & Tahj

This was my second visit. I can't wait to have another. Nothing like flying in the open air above the reef with unlimited viewing space. I loved seeing Yardie Creek Gorge from the air. It was a gorgeous sight. Not to mention some humpbacks put in a spectacular show that money couldn't buy and you couldn't see from the beach. Plus there were turtles, manta rays, eagle rays, stingrays, sharks and dugongs. . I always feel very safe and the pilots are really friendly and are very gentle when they teach you to handle the controls. I willnever get over how many beautiful shades of blue there are in the small patch of sea. But this is the best way to take it all in.

Best experience EVER. Did the afternoon flight yesterday, went back for the morning flight Today. Gav, Mal, Lakey and the team are "simply the best" The flight itself was AWESOME, the reef is spectacular and the Turtles, Dugongs, Mantarays, Eagle Ray's, Tiger Shark, Hammerhead sharks, Dolphins, Stingrays and best of all The WHALES all came out to play. Hats off to you all, see you next year 😍

This is an absolute must if you are visiting Exmouth, and don't skimp on the flight you do - You MUST do an hour or more.
From the outset the experience was amazing, starting with a recommendation that we fly a different day to the one we booked so we got the best conditions.
On the day, everything was spot on. They make sure they know how you want to fly (from rollercoaster to just cruising) and they fill you full of confidence.
On our flight we flew out over Town Beach before flanking back to and over the west side of the peninsula, right down to Tourquose Bay. Our pilots spotted turtles, stingrays, dolphins, multiple types of sharks and whale sharks sun baking - and we were here during the off season!

Such a fabulous flight with Dan this afternoon. Loved the birdseye view of the Cape Ranges but the highlight was the reef. We saw dugongs, sharks, mantarays, turtles & heaps of whale sharks. The rays of light through the clouds from the setting sun were so beautiful. A must do activity!

Just sooo good! Seeing the cape from
Above was just incredible. Skilled pilots navigating a truly unique experience. The day I flew I was lucky enough to see; humpbacks and calves, hammerhead, saw shark, turtles, bull rays and a dolphin as well as the sparkling blues and greens. As a keen diver and snorkelled this gave another perspective. It was exhilarating, although I felt safe throughout. Thanks team, I’ll be back!!
You need to wear closed-in shoes, comfortable clothes. You can bring a ‘big’ camera, but go pros and smartphones can’t resist the wind. Not to worry, you’ll be given an SD card with go pro video shot memories.

This is a must do activity when in Exmouth. Such an awe inspiring experience. Apart from viewing the stunning landscape we saw whale sharks, a tiger shark, leopard shark, dugongs, mantas, other rays, dolphins & sea snakes. We have done many experiences while in WA & this was hubby’s favourite by far. Pilots did a wonderful job of making us feel totally safe & comfortable the whole time.

Fantastic experience. The pilots were all very friendly and welcoming. They kept the experience fun whilst airways remaining professional and safe. They operate over the most amazing part of Australia and during my 90min sunset (4pm) flight we saw whale sharks, humpback whales with calves, dugongs with calves and so many Manta rays I lost count. We failed to spot a tiger shark, though another glider on our flight saw one, however we did spot a watch a large hammerhead shark which was just as cool. The setting sunlight over the ranges on the east back is magical. Definitely recommend.

When is the best time for a flight to witness the marine life & for photography?
Written 27 September 2019
The best time to fly this time of year is 10am or 1pm, the sun is bright and the reef is in full colour. The wind is also at its low point making marine life spotting easier.

Where do you book this in? the website links to a microlight pilot training page and I cannot find an option for just a passenger tour.
Written 13 March 2016
You can book a flight with most of the accomodation suppliers in Exmouth and Eco whale shark tour operators or contact birds eye view on the email to book direct. If no luck drop into the airstrip for a chat and I'm sure they will accomodate you. Cheers
