    Good small aquarium and exhibition
Nice aquarium and exhibition about the area. Fish well looked after and a good variety. Also some reptiles and an interesting exhibition on the history of town and the indigenous people of the area. Worth a visit probably needs no more that an hour.

Well worth visiting for young and old. Something for all to seee.
Very interesting and informative place. Beautifully set out and the ‘tour’ is well worth paying the extra entry fee for. Stunning aquariums and historic information. The gift shop prices are quite steep. And be careful when you get to end of the discovery area. If you want to go back to see more of it, go backwards. Once you ‘leave’ that area, you can’t go back.

Great in-depth look into Exmout’s prominence
A great look into the prominence of Exmouth as a town, its cyclone tragedy and the USA influence in the town with the existence of the Naval communications. Also a fascinating aquarium and a reptile area. Well designed. It’s $21 for adult entry and takes about an hour and a half depending on how much you want to read.

Small aquarium but packs a big punch. Cool exhibits, including other local flora and fauna info, along with plenty of interactive Exmouth material.

As an American, I had no knowledge of this history (founded to support a US Navy communications base). Great to learn this history, plus what happened in the area before and since. Enjoyed the story of the shipwrecked lads and their priceless journal of the culture of the local Aboriginal nation (who saved their lives).

The aquarium exhibits were good for both kids and adults, showcasing all the local critters and the related science. A surprise was the room about the underground organisms in the Cape Range rock formations. Definitely worth a visit!

As some have mentioned, this is not an aquarium, it has just a medium sized fish tank and a number of smaller ones. For us, it was very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Use the money saved towards a snorkeling trip.

I cannot understand how others have given it such high ratings. These caused us to waste our money on the entrance fee.

One plus factor is the cafe in the same building. A good selection of food and probably the best place in Exmouth to enjoy coffee and a cake.

We were surprised to find that this very good history and marine life information centre existed in Exmouth. It provided us with a very good synopsis of the region's history, plenty of information panels to read. We found the marine exhibits interesting, some we had sighted previously, many were unknown. We though the reef gallery was limited both in tank sizes and variety. The inhabitants of the reef tank provided a better spectacle.

You would never imagine the history of Exmouth so go here and find out about a US communications base, a massive cyclone and so much more.

A good centre for a quick trip out. however, the conditions in which they keep their animals in are questionable and rather limited.

Much of the larger marine life such as the lion fish and eels were in particularly small tanks which were bordering on cruel. Moreover, the reptiles were in equally small habitats, the blue tongued skinks kept in a floor enclosure very exposed to the public, leaving them with little room to hide.

Although a small building, the owners shouldn’t be keeping animals that they cannot provide adequate spacing for.

That being said, the information aspect of the tour was very interesting and done well by the organisers. It is a shame their standards of living for animals took away from this.
