Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a magnificent beach. Having been here many times, I always come for a drive and take time out out a quiet stroll along the beach.

I used to come here to fish for salmon but nowadays I come just to chill.

Look no further, this is the best beach in Yallingup! We spent 3 days in Yallingup visiting many of the spectacular beaches in the area, including meelup beach, eagle bay, bunker bay, bussleton, injidup natural spa, gnarabup beach and the Aquarium. And Meelup was the best! Pristine white sand and crystal clear water. Will visit again, but skip the rest (except from the Aquarium which was also pretty awesome!)

Whilst not in town, this beautiful long stretch of beach is well worth the short drive - and popular. Lots of water activities in the water. Beautiful clear sea & nice beach. Bonus - grasses & seating area right next to the sand - and various food trucks onsite. Great place for day out at the beach!

Meelup is a popular vacation stop, with a beautiful sheltered beach. It is well known for its excellent fishing. Among favoured fish are Australian salmon, herring, skipjack and blue swimmer crabs. The Meelup Regional Park has bag limits for various species, so fishers should check on regulatory requirements before they cast their lines

A brilliant beach with great facilities. It drops off reasonably quick though so watch the kids. Another great free outing for anyone. The ice cream van that stocked simmos van was delicious and cheap too!

Gorgeous beach for the young and old and anyone in between. Picnic tables along with bbq's and grassed area. Shaded parking, limited in summer as the car park becomes packed out.
Stay for an hour, stay all day.

Stopped here unexpectedly after looking for things to do.
So with it, the beach is fantastic, blue seas, rocks to explore over, bbq and grassed area for a picnic.
We were looking in the trees at the back, and we're treated to an owl.
There are toilets.
A really special place, it was reasonably quiet when we visited in June. I imagine summer is hectic.
Will visit Meelup beach next time we are in the area, hoping for a swim.

One of the best beaches I visited in WA! Crystal clear water, so many colours of blue! A great photo spot with beautiful sand and rock formations. Lovely swim at this patrolled beach and grass to sit on under plenty of shade. Good for snorkelling and long walks along the shoreline. Gets busy but found parking relatively easy.

We always drop past for a quick dip here during the summer months when checking out the local flora. Nice clear shallows and good access and parking availability. Never found it too crowded, or maybe we are just lucky!! Highly recommend!

I love Meelup beach and I'm not a sunbather. I just love the peace and tranquility of the place. Shady spots to park in. BBQs to make your lunch on. Picnic tables under the trees. Nature walks around the top. Rocky outcrop to explore. Beautiful blue ocean and white sand. Take you camera, a book, sunscreen and some water and you can just "chill".
