Short lighthouse which makes it more accessible to older people or those with dodgy knees. Less of an impressive view and surroundings than Cape Leeuwin, and work underway for better facilities. Very friendly, knowledgeable guide and worth a visit.

This is a pretty little place and we were impressed with how they are landscaping it and creating signage etched into timber including the warning for snakes. Didn't see any though! Worth a visit.

The views at the lighthouse were spectacular in all directions. Plenty of parking and a gift shop with reasonable prices :-)

Hi Timothy O, Thanks so much for taking the time to post. It is great to hear you enjoyed the tour of the Lighthouse. There are very few working lighthouse you can visit in Australia and it really offers a glimpse into the past. Thanks for helping to preserve it for future generations. A lovely walk around the lighthouse and to look through the buildings. It was peaceful and relaxing to sit and look out to the ocean

Hi travelm858, Thanks for taking the time to post. The tours of the lighthouse are fantastic and I highly recommend them to everyone. It is always great however to leave a bit of extra time to head out on the walk trails. They are beautiful all year round and particularly during spring with all the whales and wildflowers. Kind regards,... More

It was a lovely bright sunny morning and we were up early to visit the lighthouse but access didn;t open till 9.30am, which was pretty disappointing. Despite the chalkboard saying we could access it via the track we simply couldn;t find our way there, but did get some nice pix of it from a distance, and admired the stunning plants... More

Hi PippinCat, The views from the walk trails are just stunning, particularly in the morning. I am disappointed to hear you couldn't find you way top the lighthouse. We do have some restoration works going on at the moment, I hope this didn't confuse the situation. Our friendly staff in the cottage would have been able to direct you. I... More

In Margaret river region there is two lighthouses that must visit, one is cape leeuwin and another is the cape naturaliste. This is a smaller version and there aren't a lot of tourist paying for the audio guided tour. We have decided to just walk around to glance through the lighthouse. Nothing much to see and view is just average.
